Lee Min-jung's grandfather dies at 86
Lee Min-jung is adjusting her TV drama and commercial filming schedules to mourn the death of her grandfather, sources close to the actress told Ilgan Sports.
Her grandfather, Park No-soo, a renowned painter, passed away at Severance Hospital in Sinchon, central Seoul, on Monday morning. He was 86.
Park, an important figure in Korean art history, led the first generation of modernized traditional Korean ink painters who emerged after the country’s liberation from the Japanese imperialists.
In that style, black ink is combined with vivid colors such as cobalt blue and deep yellow that had rarely been used in traditional paintings before.
Lee returned to Seoul late last week after filming a television commercial in the United States.Her boyfriend, actor Lee Byung- hun,  could not appear at the funeral parlor in the hospital due to scheduling conflicts in the United States related to the promotion of “GI Joe 2: Retaliation,” which will be released on March 28 worldwide, the source said.

All About My Romance begins filming
I know, I know — I wish the production of All About My Romance gave us more to go on, too. But for now we’ll have to make do with this first official still, above, picturing the leads of the political romantic comedy, Lee Min-jung (Big) and Shin Ha-kyun (Brain). Then below, we’ve got behind-the-stills photos featuring second lead Han Chae-ah (Gaksital).
According to the producers, their approach to their previous project, 2011′s Protect the Boss, was to twist the conventions of the workplace-chaebol rom-com and give it a bit of edge. That’s also their goal with All About My Romance, in tackling the realm of politics. Lee Min-jung is the rookie parliament assembly member (and liberal), while Shin Ha-kyun plays the conservative. The simple case of opposites-attract doesn’t stand out to me, but it’s the tidbit about them having a secret dating relationship — while clashing at the workplace, of course — that makes me anticipate the drama.
Not to mention the great second leads, whom I actually prefer to the leading couple. Park Hee-soon (The Client) is the former prosecutor turned heroine’s aide, while Han Chae-ah plays a reporter on the political beat who’s loved by both men (lucky her), and is also Park’s hoobae from law school.
I’d argue that Han Chae-ah was confined to a limited range by the writing of Gaksital (Rie was more about charisma and ambiance, which she delivered), but I really enjoyed her acting in Oohlala Spouses, even if I kinda wanted to yell at the character most of the time. She should make for an interesting rival to Lee Min-jung; I like Han more, but I do think they’re sort of on the same level, acting and career-trajectory-wise, so they’re equally matched. And hopefully both ladies are competent, smart characters. FINGERS CROSSED.
All About My Romance follows That Winter, the Wind Blows and premieres in April.

We’ve got a few more stills than last time, as SBS’s political romantic-comedy series All About My Romance picks up steam with filming. It would be nice if some of them actually showed our leads together, but for now we’ll have to make do with solo stills of Shin Ha-kyun and Lee Min-jung, playing politicians on opposite sides of the party aisle.
In one of the scenes recently filmed, Lee Min-jung goes on a radio show where she lambastes Shin Ha-kyun’s character for his recent actions in an on-air interview. Her rapid-fire litany of complaints has Shin seething at home, where he listens to the show. Heh. That takes meet-cute and bickering to new levels right off the bat, considering you’ve got the public playing witness/bystander/battleground.
I wonder if her unflattering tirade is the thing that sends Shin to the hospital bed, pictured at bottom, where he is attended to by his loyal secretary (Jin Tae-hyun). Note that this show is terrible about giving out any plot-related info — in that it refuses to give us the merest scrap — so I’m just guessing here. All I know is, the idea that the upstart rookie assemblywoman rankles his pride so thoroughly does tickle my fancy. There’s just something about his demeanor — that swaggering posture, the swoopy hair — that makes me look forward to seeing her take him down a peg or two. And sure, he can take her down a peg as well. Equal opportunity peg-lowering!

None of the April dramas seem that exciting to a couple of us CK chicas, and so, our updates on those have been scarce, but I can’t resist posting these new All About My Romance stills of Lee Min Jung. Who can defy that face?
All About My Romance, which centers on the romance between two politicians from opposing parties, teams her up with Shin Ha Kyun, and it’ll air on SBS after That Winter, The Wind Blows completes its run.

Recently, behind the scene photos of actress Lee Min Jung from the set of SBS’s upcoming drama “All About My Romance” were released.
In the pictures is Lee Min Jung studying the script at the set. In this new drama, which is set in the world of politics, she is to play the role of a rookie parliament assembly member following the footsteps of her sister who passed away. It is to tell a romantic story of two politicians from the opposing parties.
Lee Min Jung revealed, “Since the script is filled with political and law-related terms, which I am not familiar with, I had a hard time memorizing them. I have been focusing on pronouncing them correctly, and have worked hard on understanding the script.”
The director of this drama later stated, “This is a perfect role for Lee Min Jung. This character will show off Lee Min Jung’s natural charms, and working with her so far has been a joy. Please look forward to her transformation in this drama.”

hi dona, makdik, hawa.. lama tak lepak ngan korang.
err.. bila dorang tukar heroin, dulu rasanya list nama lain untuk heroin, btw lee min jung aku lagi sker jadi heroin compare dgn senarai lama. cuma takleh la nak kapelkan dr lee ngan min jung sebab min jung dah kena cop ngan LBH..

tak sabar dah meroyan balik tengok SHK nih.. sekarang kita dok jatuh cinta dgn Joo in sung drama That winter the winds blows.. korang dok meroyan citer apa sekarang nih..
