Bayern Munich 2-2 Bolton: Trotters in dreamland
MUNICH, November 8 (UEFA Cup) - Bolton turned back the clock with amarvellous display of grit and determination to rock the unbeatenBundesliga leaders in the UEFA Cup.
Without the likes of Nicolas Anelka, El-Hadji Diouf and Ivan Campo, it was expected to be a walk in the park for Bayern.InsteadBolton under new manager Gary Megson claimed a point with the kind ofwork ethic which was the trademark of former boss Sam Allardyce.Kevin Davies secured a point with his first goal of the season with eight minutes remaining to stun the home crowd. A brace from Lukas Podolski had put Bayern in the driving seat after Ricardo Gardner had made the breakthrough.

Defoe and Kaboul sidelined for UEFA Cup clash
Jermain Defoe and Younes Kaboul have been ruled out of Tottenham Hotspurs's UEFA Cup clash against Aalborg at White Hart Lane.
Defoe has a cold and Kaboul has a groin injury, and they join Ledley King (knee), Benoit Assou-Ekotto (knee), Ricardo Rocha (ankle) and Anthony Gardner (ankle) on the sidelines.
Gareth Bale returned from a foot injury to play against West Ham at the weekend, and Steed Malbranque also overcame an ankle complaint to play in that match. |
