On September 22nd 2019, starting 9PM (MYT), a Malaysian award show called 'Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian' presented by a newspaper company called 'Berita Harian' was held and brocasted live on TV3 Malaysia. Prior to the event, we had been informed that there would be a new award category created by them called 'Artis Korea Popular' which translates to 'Popular Korean Artist'. BTS was nominated in that category alongside with a few other idol groups. As ARMYs, we had passionately voted for BTS and some of us even used actual money in order to support. We did our best so we can show that we are very powerful. But during the event, the emcees were being disrespectful towards BTS by calling BTS with incorrect names when they were on stage announcing the winner for that category. We had also concluded that the award show was only using BTS to increase their viewers rating and treated all of us like a joke. We want clarification whether the people from Big Hit Entertainment are aware regarding this award show. Please look into this matter very seriously. ARMYs from Malaysia are very ashamed of the wrong doings of those emcees and I hope you will take legal actions on their lack of professionalism and ill-mannered behaviour. Thank you.
