Hello all!

I have something to share....

I have a seven years old daughter.  From her early days, I have been exposing her to the english language.  So she is very comfortable with the language now. She has come to like english language so much!

Lately, she has been telling me that her english teacher at school is very stern and fierce.  And she is beginning to feel uncomfortable and fearful to attend her english class because of the teacher.

I feel so sad and disturb by this.  I feel this is just not right.  She is the best student (in english) in her class but she still feel fearful of this teacher.  I can't imagine how her peers in her class would be feeling regarding this.  Must be worst than my daughter, I guess.

If you want the children to learn anything at all, you must make it more enjoyable and interesting for them.  Not scare them like this....

Maybe I should confront the english teacher?  Or maybe it is such not a good idea?  I really don't know....

hai tssy,

dont worry..
well i think is better if u confront the teacher.just tell the teacher the truth
btw,how old is ur daughter?there's nothing wrong if u talk to the teacher.
sometimes, they do make mistakes.is just that they dont realized it.
have u met the teacher before?

hi tssy...

I wrote a long message about my past experience with my english teacher but I didnt know what went wrong, my pc suddenly frozen and I had to restart it. I couldnt save it so it went in the blink of eyes .

It was a long and excruciating experience for me because I didnt enjoy learning english for couple years and could not understand why some people try to make English as a hard language to understand.   . English is just another language like Malay, Thai, Tagalog or any Asian native languages. Show moral support to those who wants to learn the language. This will help them to understand the language more.

I can understand your feeling when your daughter told you about her teacher's behaviour. Her behaviour is not acceptable especially when dealing with children as young as 7 years old. Besides, English probably is new to her young pupils and they need some good materials like books, dvd or any light activity like story telling so that they can learn to love this language.

Maybe you can discuss this matter with other pupils' parents or guardians. If everybody thinks that the teacher is not helping their kids to understand the language, all of you can lodge complaints against her to the school headmaster or PIBG. Use diplomatic means to wean her away from using strict disciplines in teaching English. Assure her that children need encouragement and praises in order for them to like English not a severe punishment. Give her a second chance to change her teaching methods.

oh my God, I still up.. Thanks to my upper neighbour who is having a big party tonight.. she is drunk and I can hear her voice singing Elvis's Song ' Because I love You Too Much Baby ' ...

do have anything to declare? wonder where did you get this sentence from... Australian Custom Officer? .. or you want to declare war?

do have or do you have anything to declare? ---> declare... I think this is more to confession.. something like... ' Yeah do I love you but I cant be with you'... I confess my love to someone..

' how do you like your coffee? ' means how do you prepare your own coffee.. or how you prefer your kind of coffee.

some say... I like my black coffee without sugar ( ukhs ). Some say.. I like my coffee with little sugar.. or some say I like my coffee like I like my man.. Mexican!
Or I like my coffee with more sugar and milk.

explain about 'how do u like your coffee' thing first. I remember my first date with my man... he asked me about my my drink.. I said yeah I do love my softdrink without ice. Weird... in hot weather I choosed  to drink my softdrink without ice coz I was so shy and didnt care about anything

i think it depends on circumstances..

if i was looking for a new house with a property agent and  asked me ' how do you find yourself here, in this office room ' i'd say... ' i love it. This room  is so spacious and much easier for me to move around and doing my stuff in here. And I can see beautiful scenery through this big window and it feels amazing working in this kind of enviroment ...

i am quite happy with this house and would like to put in an offer on this property

* you have

usually it was asked in writing when you arrived at the port of any countries -
and you can just write specific items that's important which you brought
along with ya -

n "how do u like ur coffee?"

it means how you like the taste of your coffee -
the answer usually simple - either -
black please
or white please with 1 teaspoon sugar
or white please, no sugar

anything you desire -

often it means - how you adapt with that place -
or it could also means - how do you get there - although
the question is quite vague for that -

it is a correct sentence however often we use 'prefer' to
express our keen to certain food / drink -

hence, i prefer tea to coffee is widely used - (or vice versa)
