Aku setuju.
Due to panic attack, amazement (yes) and disbelief, aku dok kat kerusi jah beberapa saat masa gegaran. Dah nak habis baru aku lari keluar. Aku terfikir nak lari kuar dari awal tapi boleh2 aku bagitau diri sendiri, "ala kejap je ni nanti berenti la".
Gituh.
Buatnya skala 7.0, harus aku matI kejung di situ juga. |

Preparedness kita dalam sebarang disaster (sama ada natural atau man-made) mmg agak hauk.
Kittie dah lama nak nih, to be part of this utk set up mende nih pun Kittie tak kisah, mmg agak penat la awal2 nk build/set-up & perlu kerjasama byk pihak. Tp byk model yg kita boleh pollow sbg contoh, kajian secara local pun dah byk sbnrnya tp kajian2 tuh semer tinggal kajian dlm journals & proceedings sahaja, takde aplikasi & implementasi. Hasil2 kajian tuh semer org yg berminat nak tahu jer yg akan usaha cari & baca. Mcm yg Kittie dok tepek semer tuh, sayang sgt, ada pengetahuan tp kita tak gunakan utk betterment.
Malaysia needs a National Institute of Disaster Management
Malaysia is a country blessed with an abundance of natural resources, crude oil, water and forestry, and with no natural disaster. Looks like we have become complacent, insensate and have taken for granted that nature will be kind no matter what nonsense we do to her. Nature's endowments were taken for granted and its kindness has been replaced by floods, depletion of natural resources and scarcity of water. Unless nature is protected and preserved, we had better be prepared to face its fury.
The recent flood took Malaysians by surprise. Sludge water from rivers just overflowed, swarming low-lying areas and towns so quickly that people could not remove their belongings and whatever was removable on time. Worst of all, the relevant authorities were caught unprepared for the disaster. There was no emergency government in place when the country faced the unprecedented floods. Government agencies were in year-end holiday mood and ministers, including the Prime Minister, were on holiday.
Malaysians are not exposed, trained or briefed as to what to do and where to look for help when faced with calamity. Operation centres or bilik gerakan do not spring up in affected areas coordinating and providing information as what the affected areas are and where the affected people are so that volunteers and relief efforts can be directed there. There was no central portal or website providing daily updates on the flood situation, road accessibility, where relief effort was needed and victims who were stranded. Besides, there was no daily information on weather forecast for the different affected areas. However, coordination came somewhat later.
Malaysia’s greatest asset is its peoples’ willingness to help each other without bothering about race or religion. The recent flood exposed that oneness of our Malaysian spirit in times of disaster and the government’s hypocrisy in dividing people according to race and religion. Flood victims could see the Malaysian spirit and many commended the multiracial spirit of Malaysians. But the government -controlled media, immersed in government propaganda, overlooked or just ignored these developments.
The current National Security Council must be dismissed as a total flop and replaced with disaster management experts who can formulate the institutional framework and standard operating procedures in the event of any natural calamity. Deforestation in the east coast states must be stopped immediately. The need for disaster-preparedness planning has never been more important in view of climate change.
It is time for the Malaysian government to set up a National Institute of Disaster Management for training and capacity development programmes for managing natural disasters. Instead, government agencies are putting up budgets to buy more helicopters and boats for future floods. The government needs to set up a team to study the weakness and unpreparedness and inquire why the meteorological department, National Security Council and Natural Disaster Committee failed to forewarn, coordinate and manage the sudden flood before allocating money for purchases of assets.
Let’s learn from many other disaster-affected and disaster-prone countries as to how to survive natural calamities and other catastrophic emergencies. Climate change and man-made emergency events have to be taken seriously and the public must be trained and prepared to face these. Residents in local communities can come up with community-based, disaster-preparedness measures by themselves. Even universities can be mobilised to research on Environment and Disaster Risk Management and provide courses. A national institute of disaster management can lead the way towards better preparedness when facing calamities.

takyah laa bela ikan akuarium seme tu , bela burung lam sangkaq seme tu..pet seme tu pun aku tak suka nak bela kitty , mak aku yang gatai suka kucing, aku takmo seme2 tu..aku takmo sekoq pet apa pun..pada aku seme tu patut bebas cam manusia gak haaaaa..

Sabah quake: Hope for the best, says Singaporean PM
SINGAPORE: Singaporean prime minister Lee Hsien Loong (pic) is hoping for the best on the fate of the missing eight schoolchildren and two of their teachers following a 5.9 magnitude earthquake that shook parts of Sabah on Friday.
In his Facebook post Saturday, Lee said: "The parents and families left on an Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) C130 at 9:30am this morning for Kota Kinabalu.
"Hope for the best. Will update on our missing and injured students and teachers in Kota Kinabalu when I have more specific information."
It was reported earlier, that a group of students from the Tanjong Katong Primary School were on excursion at Mount Kinabalu when the earthquake struck Friday.
Eight students all aged 12, along with two teachers were uncontactable.
Sinagporean deputy prime Minister Teo Chee Hean also said in his Facebook post: "The parents accompanied by Ministry of Education officers and counsellors, and Home Team medical and liaison officers are being flown there by RSAF this morning.
Meanwhile, expressing his sympathy, Minister for Communications and Information Dr Yaacob Ibrahim said: "My thoughts are with the people in Sabah, Malaysia.
"Understand that families of Singaporeans there are anxious for more information. Our MFA Crisis Response Team has been dispatched there. Let us be patient as they do their best to reach those in need, and pray for the safety of those affected by the earthquake," he said in his post. - Bernama
