hello there..
thanks to Dexa for a nice and quite entertaining thread ( i like some jokes posted by cari members ). I hope I can practice my simple English here.
When i was at form one, we had an English teacher whom we called as Tigeress Z . She was the most irritating person that I ever met in my life! Whenever we made mistakes in English class, she would punish us severely. Overall, she made my English class as a long suffering and boring class! :@ .
But thanks to my best English teacher, Puan Zainab Bakar who taught English subject as a fun language during my SPM year. She was the one who introduced English drama competition and encouraged most of ust o take up roles in the competition. English class was no longer a scary place to be but rather a fun and enjoying class. We could blabbing in our broken English on whatever subject we wish to discuss. Whenever we made mistake, my teacher would correct us without making fun on us.
As I was the most shy student in her class and refused to speak in English, she thought I could not speak in English . Sometimes she persuaded me to talk in English but I was just smilling at her without saying a word.
On our drama competition day, my English teacher was one of the judges. To her suprise, I actually took up the most important role in the drama as a dark witch and I conversed entirely in English. I saw her jaw dropped and couldnt believe her eyes. Anyway... my group won the competition as I got the best actress for negative role

Those who couldn't speak, write, or understand english surely not a bunch of losers...my late grandpa knew little English...so do my dad. But they still managed to be a good parent.
Your teacher was a bit too much |

actually based on your first post -
u can say - when i was in form one , we had
u do not necessary hafta saya 'i' -
but omit the 'as' -
because you were mentioning about you were in form one
but the teacher was for everybody in your class -
so the syntax is still correct -. |

thanks dexa
In my English class we had 3 groups which were based on our ability and skills. A for good students, B for average and C for weak. I was in group B.
I knew I had to improve my language because it was my SPM year. If i didnt get credit for English, I wouldnt be able to go to university. Sometimes i just cried thinking on how to improve my language with my limited ability to understand foreign language. Looking back on those days i feel for myself. But here I am writing in this forum with my simple English and I think I 've been through a long winding road to get here.
oklah merapu meraban at this early hour. need to hit my sack now . Good night guys. See you later.
