Paul invented his own religion

You are insisting that Jesus meant something other than what he said. If Jesus was God, why didn't he mean what he said? Why do we need you to write 500 words to explain 5 of Jesus's?

Well that would be your job. But let me remind you, that I read the Bible as it is, I accept it as is, so when you say well, that is what they said, but this is what they meant, it falls on deaf ears. Let us deal with the Bible we have on paper, and not the one you have in your head.

Why not quote the Bible and prove you are telling us the truth? Show us where Paul and Jesus are in 100% total agreement on the important issues. That is how you win. You don't get anywhere when you make assertions

Really?  You know more than the translators of ALL of these Bible versions?

Romans 7:6 :: New International Version (NIV)

Romans 7
6But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

tommy :  How is the Spirit dead if we are to serve it?  We serve a dead spirit?

Romans 7:6 :: New American Standard Bible (NASB)

6   But now we have been (1) released from the Law, having (2) died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in (3) newness of (4) the [1] Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.

tommy:  We are RELEASED from the law. We no longer have to obey it.  Jesus said the law was to last FOREVER.  Thus Paul contradicts Jesus.

Romans 7:6 :: The Message (MSG)

6But now that we're no longer shackled to that domineering mate of sin, and out from under all those oppressive regulations and fine print, we're free to live a new life in the freedom of God.

tommy:  We are RELEASED from the law. Cannot be more clear cut!

Romans 7:6 :: Amplified Bible (AMP)
6But now we are discharged from the Law and have terminated all intercourse with it, having died to what once restrained and held us captive. So now we serve not under [obedience to] the old code of written regulations, but [under obedience to the promptings] of the Spirit in newness [of life].

tommy:  We are RELEASED from the law. And again, how is the spirit dead?!

Romans 7:6 :: New Life Version (NLV)

6but now we are free from the Law. We are dead to sin that once held us in its power. No longer do we follow the Law which is the old way. We now follow the new way, the way of the Spirit.

tommy:  We DO NOT NEED TO OBEY THE LAW!!!!  But Jesus said we had to...FOREVER....

Romans 7:6 :: Contemporary English Version (CEV)
6But the Law no longer rules over us. We are like dead people, and it cannot have any power over us. Now we can serve God in a new way by obeying his Spirit, and not in the old way by obeying the written Law.

tommy:  We DO NOT NEED TO OBEY THE LAW!!!!  But Jesus said we had to...FOREVER....

Romans 7:6 :: Worldwide English (New Testament) (WE)

6   But now we have been made free from the law. We died, and so we are no longer slaves to the one who was our master. Now we are slaves to God in our new life. This new life is ruled by the Spirit. We do not work for the old written law.

tommy:  We DO NOT NEED TO OBEY THE LAW!!!!  But Jesus said we had to...FOREVER....

Matthew 5:17-19 :: New International Version (NIV)

17"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Matthew 5:17-19 :: The Message (MSG)

17"Don't suppose for a minute that I have come to demolish the Scriptures--either God's Law or the Prophets. I'm not here to demolish but to complete. I am going to put it all together, pull it all together in a vast panorama. 18God's Law is more real and lasting than the stars in the sky and the ground at your feet. Long after stars burn out and earth wears out, God's Law will be alive and working.
19"Trivialize even the smallest item in God's Law and you will only have trivialized yourself. But take it seriously, show the way for others, and you will find honor in the kingdom.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Matthew 5:17-19 :: Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

17   `Do not suppose that I came to throw down the law or the prophets -- I did not come to throw down, but to fulfill;
18   for, verily I say to you, till that the heaven and the earth may pass away, one iota or one tittle may not pass away from the law, till that all may come to pass.
19   `Whoever therefore may loose one of these commands -- the least -- and may teach men so, least he shall be called in the reign of the heavens, but whoever may do and may teach [them], he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Matthew 5:17-19 :: Worldwide English (New Testament) (WE)
17   `Do not think that I have come to take away the law and the writings of the prophets. No, I have not come to take them away. But I have come to do what they say must be done.
18   I tell you the truth. Until the sky and the earth are taken away, not one small part of the law will be taken away, until everything has been done.
19   So anyone who does not obey one of the smallest laws, and teaches other people not to obey it, will have the smallest part in the kingdom of heaven. But any one who obeys and teaches the law, will have a big part in the kingdom of heaven.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Matthew 5:17-19 :: Contemporary English Version (CEV)
17Don't suppose that I came to do away with the Law and the Prophets. [1] I did not come to do away with them, but to give them their full meaning. 18Heaven and earth may disappear. But I promise you that not even a period or comma will ever disappear from the Law. Everything written in it must happen. 19If you reject even the least important command in the Law and teach others to do the same, you will be the least important person in the kingdom of heaven. But if you obey and teach others its commands, you will have an important place in the kingdom.

Footnotes

5.17 the Law and the Prophets: The Jewish Scriptures, that is, the Old Testament.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Matthew 5:17-19 :: New Living Translation (NLT)

17"Don't misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to fulfill them. 18I assure you, until heaven and earth disappear, even the smallest detail of God's law will remain until its purpose is achieved. 19So if you break the smallest commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God's laws and teaches them will be great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

One would think the Trinitarian Christians could simply answer this question with Jesus or Paul. But that would be admitting that they disagree with each other. The contradiction is obvious to anyone who wants to be honest and see it. This is more proof that Christianity and the Trinitarian Christians who promote it can not be trusted.

The one that contradicted himself was Tommy. He claimed that Jesus said that the law would stand for all times, and when I asked him to show me, he couldn't.

Tommy is exposed as a simple liar. Hahahahahahahahaha...........

What else Tommy?

Paul spends a great deal of time saying that Christians do not need to obey ANY of the laws.  Jesus says to obey all of the laws.  In the OT, there oare about 600 laws.  Jesus in Aramaic or Hewbrew would not and could not have made a linguistic distintion between the ten commandments and the rest of Jewish law.  Further, Christians such as yourself have NO problem not following eventhe ten.  Remember, you must observe the Sabbath.  No where in the NT does it say that Sunday is now the Sabbath.  But Jesus (and now, amazingly, the suggest Paul) says that we must at the very least obeythe commandments.  Huh?

Wrong again Tommy, Paul didn't say that. You see, yu have obviously never read the Bible.

Jesus says to obey all of the laws.

Jesus explained the true meaning of the laws. And yes, we do follow them.

Christians do observe the sabbath, the true meaning of it, not the ritualistic one. Whether yu have service on any day of the week, it doesn't matter at all. Didn't Jesus say that the sabbath was made for man and not man for the sabbath?

what else tommy? is that all?
