Prince Frederick and Princess Mary of Denmark

Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Mary met with Japan’s Ambassador to Denmark, Toshiro Suzuki at the Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will pay an official visit to Japan from October 9 to October 12, 2017. Japan is the world’s third-largest economy, so an important trading partner for Denmark, and the two nations celebrate 150 years of diplomatic relations this year.

The Crown Princess visited Children Museum and saw the nebuta which is a large paper lantern and which has been designed as the ship of Rasmus Klump. Afterwards, the artist Mr. Shunichi Kitamura made a presentation of the work.

Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary and Japan's Crown Prince Naruhito visited Japan’s National Archive to see the exhibition called "Japan and Denmark: Valuable Records of the Historical Relation" in Tokyo, which was created in cooperation with the Danish National Archive.
