Arsenal kid Barazite happy with progress
tribalfooball.com - April 22, 2008
Nacer Barazite is delighted with his progress at Arsenal this season.
The Dutch youngster told arsenal.com: "My targets for next season are to gain more and more experience in the first team, some more Carling Cup games and see where we go from there.
"I am definitely a better player now. Technically I am better and overall I think that I have improved a lot."
The attacking midfielder also remarked: "All the Dutch players who have been at Arsenal are fantastic players. You can take from every side of their game and learn how to play. I hope I can be one of those.
"Unfortunately I never managed to speak with Dennis Bergkamp because I arrived when he was leaving. Maybe in the future I can speak with him. But Robin van Persie is quite a good friend of mine, he talks with me a lot and is a good help to me.
"Hopefully I can be as good as him one day." |

Emmanuel-Thomas happy to play anywhere for Arsenal
tribalfootball.com - April 22, 2008
Arsenal prospect Jay Emmanuel-Thomas is happy to play anywhere as management continue to consider his ideal position.
The teenager, at 6ft 3in, has been played at centre-half by Academy coach Steve Bould, but also is comfortable in midfield thanks to his quality on the ball.
He told arsenal.com: "I have trained on quite a few occasions with the first team. I have played in all positions with them, wide, in central midfield and as centreback. I enjoy central midfield best and playing as I did alongside Cesc Fabregas and Alex Hleb was really great.
"All the first team players were encouraging and looked to be doing their best to get me involved and on the ball. I enjoyed and appreciated that. I enjoyed the sessions with the first team because the players have to do things so quickly and the sessions were tough. I was quite tired at the end." Jay is noted for his close control and quick skills which stand out all the more because he is so tall. |

Bilic tips Portsmouth's Kranjcar for Arsenal move
tribalfootball.com - April 24, 2008
Croatia coach Slaven Bilic believes Niko Kranjcar could end up at Arsenal because he is an identikit Arsene Wenger player.
After helping knock England out of the tournament, the Portsmouth player will take his place in the Croatia squad competing at Euro 2008, giving him the opportunity to show off his skills on the big stage.
Wenger has hinted that he will not be delving deep into The Gunners' financial resources as a knee-jerk reaction to his team's dramatic slump this term but will instead look to make only one or two key signings during the close season.
"Wenger wants to sign players that he likes and he knows they will be able to play in The Premier League," said Bilic to the media in his homeland.
"Niko made his name at Portsmouth and Wenger knows very well what he can give his side." |
