"How is the weather sir?" Audio of final cockpit conversation of doomed Flydubai 738 jet before crash in poor visibility
This is believed to be the final chilling conversation of pilots who crashed their plane in bad weather as they tried to land at an airport in Russia, killing all 62 people on board.
The Boeing 738 plane hit the ground and burst into flame as it was approaching Rostov-on-Don airport in southern Russia at about 3:50am local time.
Flight FZ981, run by budget carrier Flydubai was en route from Dubai carrying 55 passengers and seven crew, according to the country's Southern Regional Emergency Center.
Aristos Socratous had 5,700 hours of flying experience
Alejandro Álava Cruz was the co-pilot of the plane
The pilots are heard on the radio talking to the air traffic controllers with both sides discussing the increasingly bad weather.
The plane crashed inside the airport's perimeter, about 250 metres (yards) short of the start of the runway during its second landing approach amid poor weather conditions.
The plane's wing hit the ground on the second landing attempt and burst into flames.

terhempas pada ketinggian berapa nih?
Stalled masa ketinggin 3000++ kaki sis.
Kesahnya heshe nak abort landing second time.namun ala2 stalled masa ketinggi 3k kaki gitu masa ascending itu, sebab itu hancur lebur kot
kalau ikutkan setiap kluarga mangsa akan dapat pampasan $ 8 - 9 juta ++ tu (dr syarikat pnerbangan).. tu belum insurans nyawa (kalau ada laa).. harap kluarga depa jangan nk joli sgt laa.. kalau China pas minta, minta lagi and then minta lagi.. macam sial je perangai
Pilots are trained for this kind of situation. Why have to wait for 2 hours pusing2 airport? Why not land at nearby airport? And why took that kind of risk.? Pilots are trained to land even without visibility, pandukan pada instrument.
MAS, kalau cuaca buruk, they have 2 options, either patah balik atau landing kat nearby airport.
Airasia pulak, kalau cuaca buruk, they will take risk to land, patah balik will inccured cost time, fuel, landing at nearby airport will cost airport charge, hotels, etc.
Perhaps, this might answer the questions. Flydubai is a budget airlines.
Ada 2 budget airlines di UAE, Flydubai dgn Air Arabia
tak berapa betul tu, tak kira dari mana airline pun, sama jer, pilots are trained to make a landing in any kind of weather as long as within the plane capability and the limitations. Kalau exceeded the limitation such as visibility less than minimum required, crosswind more than maximum authorised sapa pun tak akan make an attempt to land. when he aircrafts get airborne, benda benda logistic tu dah tak fikir banyak dah, most important is safety.
FINAL ANSWER: I watched the video of the Russian plane crash. It was nose dived into the runway in perfectly clear weather at 500 plus mph, PERIOD, END OF DISCUSSION. see for yourself here and the question is, why are they lying about this?
The debris field has only a couple pieces bigger than a football and is spread out for over a mile. That does not happen at controlled landing speeds as Russia claimed, EVER.
UPDATE: I suspected it was on fire in the first video, and a new video from a different angle seems to confirm it. It was definitely at least in a free fall which could have been caused by a stall (if it was not in a full on dive,) and if it was in a free fall because of a stall, I do not think the stall was pilot error, I think the plane was disabled and on fire.
Free fall speed would be less than 500 mph but a lot faster than landing speed. I think this plane was probably shot down or brought down by something else and the Russians do not want to admit it.

Video shows the tragic airliner plummeting to earth engulfed in flames prior to hitting the runway at Rostov-on-Don airport
New footage of the moments before the fatal crash of Flydubai FZ981 seems to show that the doomed plane was on fire BEFORE it hit the ground.
The shocking video has been broadcast by Russia's Life News and posted tonight on YouTube.
It clearly shows a fast-moving object, said to be the stricken passenger jet, plummeting to earth and already engulfed in flames prior to hitting the runway at Rostov-on-Don airport.
All 62 people on board were killed in the crash which happened at 3.50am local time when it was still pitch black.
