nampak gaya tunggu dapatresul SPM la ... trial's result not so good ... banyak A- je .. A + A+ dalam 5 je ... so .. tak layak mohon mana2 biasiswa lagi guna trial kot ...

salam,
my girl spm last year. Dia pun SBP. I applied matrics Kuala Pilah, UPU (foundation science UiTM) dan Overseas. Syukur tiga2 yg diminta, semua dapat 1st choice. She is now in INTEC, insyaAllah in 2014 pergi UK.
Sebab ni anak sulung, saya byk buat research last yr. I understand how anxious u r now as that was how i felt too.
Matrics - Saya pilih Kuala Pilah sbb although tempat ni lama, KP produces the best results. 2nd choice is Selangor n Malacca.
UPU - Saya pilih 1st choice UiTM. NO, UITM tak cikai ye, siapa yg comment kat atas tu. I chose UiTM over UM due to several reasons, tapi complicated nak tulis sini. Since anak you SBPI, maybe UIA would be also good coz anak you can be exempted from Basic Arabic.
Overseas Studies. - FYI, there are several places that sponsors send their students to, for foundation/IB/A levels/AUSMAT/ etc before sending the students for their Degree overseas. - INTEC, Kolej Mara Banting, Kolej Mara Seremban are the popular ones.... tapi byk lagi tempat preparatory yg disediakan. Di Taylors pun ada, di INTI pun ada, Shahputra, byk lagi la.... oh MCKK pun ada jugak
Semuanya terpulang kepada kursus yg diminati.
Since you sebut INTEC, INTEC ni tempat budak2 yg dapat scholarship buat 'foundation' before they fly. di INTEC most students are under JPA n MARA, tapi ada jugak budak petronas, Maybank,etc. Some courses require them to be in INTEC for 3 months, paling lama budak2 A levels 2 tahun. There is also a class of private students in INTEC.

Oh, students can apply for UPM medic using trials.Results will be know end dec or early jan. Start belajar in january for 7-8 months. Bulan september dah 1st yr medic. Ini fast track. (meaning kawan anak saya yg SPM 2011 dah start medic 1st yr last month) |

yuppp ... i sangat2 anxious sebab ini anak sulung i and satu-satunya anak i yang akan ke uni ... so kami memang sangat2 fokus kat anak dara i ni .....
OK .. u mentioned pasal medic UPM gunatrial result >>> hmmm .. my doter punya result tak cantik utk trial ni 10As but 5 sahja A+ and A .. the rest A- .. so .. I (I ?? hehe) isi matrikulasi jer .... i pernah jugak dengar matrik KPilah is the best matrik as product matrik KPilah ni ramai yang dapat buat Medic ...tapi my doter takmo lah pulak sebab dia sekarang belajar kat SBPI, jempol, K.Pilah .... jemu gamaknya .... so .. di apilih nak Banting je .. so . i ikut je laa .... (i pilih matrik melaka, johor n perak) ..
now ... asasi sains .. I jugak plan nak pilih UiTM sebagai pilihan utama ... 2nd mungkin UPM (dekat ngan rumah) ....
Oversea >>> tengok result dia .. kalau bagus.... i takkisah dia ke mana kecuali negara2 timut tengah, India, Indonesia dan Russia ... entahkenapa i tak berkenan utkanak i belajar ke negara2 ini ..
Kalau rezeki i lebih .. and anak i tak dapat offer oversea ...i jugak ada plan nak hantar dia belajar ke uni singapura ..... guna duit sendiri la ....
i baru nak mula baca2 pasal semua ni ....
wahhh ,,,, peninggggg 
tapi info dari you ni benar2 membantu la ......

kalau kat matrik uia memang masuk tu dah ada course. bukan macam matrik kpm yang ada stream je. contoh - engineering, medic, laws, etc. dan memang confirm dapat masuk main campus dengan course yang sama kalau cgpa cukup. minimum requirement differs according to courses, tapi tak silap saya the lowest is cgpa of 2.5 (i might be wrong on the cgpa though). |

Hi auntie, saya nk share my experience & opinions bleh... ni berdasarkan pengalaman saya lebih kurang 4 tahun dulu la (saya SPM 2007 & lepasan matrik).. In my opinion, matrik is the best choice if your daughter prefer to study in local university. Most of lepasan matrik akan dapat tempat di universiti, tp pilihan ke berapa tu depend kepada result la. But, that is a not a big problem.. insya'allah, kalau anak auntie study betul2, mesti bleh score punya.. asasi UM is quite competitive for entrance but if SPM result ok, it worths a try. asasi UiTM pun lebih kurang macam matriks cuma study environmentnya lain sikit (matriks lebih strict & pentingkan disiplin). Untuk oversea plak, its either JPA or MARA(but i think sekarang ada byk lg biasiswa kot).. masa zaman saya dulu sangat2 la competitive.. even dulu minimum requirement was 9A, tp yg straight As pun tak dapat.. slalunya application after SPM result & dulu if you applied for medical course, u would need to go for kursus pendedahan kerjaya for a week(not sure now ada lg ke x) before they called for interview session..
And if auntie nak support ur daughter to study oversea, byk je agensi2 private kat luar sana tp mostly course yg ditawarkan health sciences and usually they hantar ke russia, egypt, jordan, indonesia, india which i think auntie x suka kan.. One more thing, rajin2 tgk paper sbb byk agensi2 akan iklankan biasiswa diorang.. kalau berminat just apply je & slalunya kalau berjaya mereka akan panggil for interview.. hmm, tu je la kot yg bleh saya kongsikn.. tp ini semua masa zaman saya dulu la.. not sure whether it is still applicable now.. Satu lg kelebihan matrik & asasi ialah fast track(setahun je).. Compared to oversea where they need to do A-level usually for 2 years before they go abroad.. so, macam saya sekarang dh tahun 4 kat uni compared to them yg maybe baru 2nd or 3rd year..so it really benefits me in terms of time.. tp of coz la, oversea lebih nyk pengalaman dr segi cara pembelajaran & kehidupan..huhu.. sama jugak macam STPM, 2 years and a lot more tougher.. sape yg score STPM mmg best of the best lah.. i can see the differrence sbb dekat tempat saya belajar sekarang ada student dari semua tempat(matrik,asasi, STPM)...so setiap tu ada kelebihan & kekurangan |

Oh lupa nak cakap jugak, anak you trials very very good, tak kira la A+ tu sikit. So apply la UPM based on trials tu. Also, my opinion is that she will be able to secure a scholarship and fly, insyaAllah with her SPM results yg lagi gempak. So just apply aje Matrics, UPU, but concerntrate also applying as many scholarships possible. Kawan anak i sampai dapat 3 offer scholarships, suka tgk dia main pilih2 aje.. |

Kalu dia minat Engineering, mungkin dia penah dengar tentang German-Malaysian Institute...
Rasanya terbaik pilihlah institusi di bawah mara... di Gmi ada ditawarkan program A-Level untuk ke German.
Kalau dia x berminat denga German, institusi lain di bawah unikl pun ada menawarkan a-level program.

Saya ni tengah cari info juga utk engineering sbb my son yg 12 tahun ni minat engineering. Hehe lama lagi la pulak kan.
Setahu saya kalau nak go for engineering, my logic is that it will be towards UK or US. Mara and JPA ada sponsor. Engineering in France, Germany, Japan pun ada but would be a bit difficult sbb blajar in their language.
Engineering in UniKL, itu tempat Mara byk hantar budak2 MRSM . Budak SBP mcm takda aje, if ada pun tak ramai. Tapi saya tak pernah dgr la.
Dan students yg to me very very lucky will be the 30 students sent to US every year to do engineering. They fly dalam sebulan after SPM results. |
