Kalau kita ada skill dan expertise pun saingan sgt kuat terutama dari segi races, dan kabel juga...

Umur 45 ke atas bukan time job hopping makan gaji dah sepatutnya... sbb masa muda2 tu dah pulun bina networking, develop skill mcm data scientist ka, lean six sigma ka, project management ka... corporate portfolio management ka... umur 45 ke atas buleh jadi business mentor, coach, consultant, custodian etc dah...

Buat duit tepi bukak bisnes mcm2 sbb dah establish network, skill ape sume

At 45- 50s above kita pun dah malas nak bersaing dengan budak2 muda.. dah kita pulak le kena amek alih guide diorg je lah le...

Contoh ye contoh...

Generasi dah berumur ni laa yang kena setup good foundation, SOP, best practices, advisory apps.. lay out good system utk pelapis.. budak2 muda akan jadi user, dan bagi feedback for any improvements.. masa utk gunakan technology.. kita ajar budak2 muda dan machines...

true..sbb high competition dlm job market tetap akan ada.so better la dr muda lagi,ms tgh ada byk tenaga,masa,pi je pulun keje dan naik tangga gaji.
bila dh kertu sok..nak naik gaji susah and mmg susah majikan nak hire esp kalo skills set tu bbnu pun ada or skills set tu dah replaced with teknologi..baik depa hire bbnu..bleh bayar gaji murah

dia dah lama duk kt GLC tu, dah 15 thn..duk dln comfort zone dan acah2 kak long kawasan
padahal pangkat ekzekutip je sama mcm fresh grad je pun.
skill set pun beryyy d general jah..buat admin je
tp mmg la ada degree..but zmn skang, sapa je kesah dgn degree ko kalo ko punya skill set ala2 zmn 90s jah
so kpd acik2 kepam kat luar sana yg acah2 kak long kawasan, takyah la membongak dgn staff baru ya....boleh jadi new staf tu kalo dtg dr kampeni lain, dia ada byk exposure dan experience dr tmpt lama dan opkozzz masuk new place je dpt naik lagi tangga gaji
so acik2 kepam acah kaklong kawasan, sila lah meninggal...takde sapa heran pun ko jd kaklong kwsn ya kt opis ko tuh
ko berbelas tahun duk dlm dept yg sama, acah2 kuasa mengalahkan head of dept pun ada gak...ujung2 bitter tgk staff baru masuk dgn gaji 5 angka sebulan

Ya betul sgt2...ramai je yg umur 40 keatas yg kehilangan kerja atas bnyk sebab cth sakit,  ekonomi dunia jatuh ke atau wabak mcm covid ke ....dan susah nk dpt balik position tinggi yg lama...sebab saingan dan bnyk factor mcm disebut td...

Jd point dia grab gaji sekarang masa muda supaya bila kita hilang kerja kita ada saving..related to topic jgn ngada2 konon x pe gaji rendah sekarang walaupun ada tawaran...grab jer...

gaji lebih tu tolak ke savings acc terus
as u said,bila umur dh 40s ni mcm2 penyakit la, dtg musibah ntah hapa2 la, mmg savings kita tu la jd emergency fund kita juga sementara nk tggu bantuan lain (if ada) mcm perkeso,insurans bagai.

Edit : eh tp payah nak suh manusia cenggini resign.. sbb deme takde skill utk market diri kat company lain... mmg deme maintain duk situ sampai retirement je lah... kalo orang banyak skill, depa mampu je biakkan income passive dan portfolio income lain.. bukak companies, sediakan peluang kerja utk anak2 muda

pastu acah2 sume kene gerun dgn dia.padahal as i said la..nobody impress dgn dia pun holiday pun stakat thailand krabi bodoh tu jah.
eh heloo..weols dan newcomers ni smpi dh jejak benua lain ya..even akak sendiri dah jejak Tel Aviv,Israel sana tu
and org lain keluar masuk silih berganti dah byk exposure experience networking bagai and plg penting, dah naik tangga gaji
nak gi dept lain pun HOD lain x hengen nak hire dia..baik hire external candidate yg sah2 bleh bwk benefits to his dept
