Muhammad is certainly an influential man. He can convince a whole nation to join him but he cannot convince his only uncle. don't you think there's a problem there?

Can you explain why there's MILLIONS who decided to convert?

We certainly have no doubts wheter he can convert millions, billions or trillions. The question here is why he cannot convince his uncle to join him. Simple as that.

one uncle did not convert to Islam

but sad to say that now MILLIONS have converted to ISLAM.

Same thing goes to you your parents still remain as per their faith

kharrrr    kharrr ...

another interesting story, Never in history that angel cleanse prophets heart but in muhammad case the angel cleanse his heart. why? did not some used to says " u dirty heart" awak ini hati busuk dan kotor" so, clearly, he is not a prophet at all.

numbers is not important in eyes of God but true faith.

even when islam came here to malaya , most malays are 'buta huruf' ......and those good looking arabs with charming looks convienced peoples here  to buy that story.

now, with internet peoples becoming smart and smart as Azhar Mansor says " in judgement day , we do not know how the ending"

sooner or later muslims going to realised that the so called religion of peace and beauty.....is not beauty at all.

you should get your facts correct first.....Abu Talib is not Muhammad's only uncle...Hamzah is another Muhammad's uncle...and many others....

Saidina Hamzah converted to Islam....Hamzah was a fierce and stubborn man....he was a hunter and nobody in Mecca dare to challenge his words before he was a muslim

But, Muhammad was able to convert him...and Hamzah remained by his side until his death....

Well, im man enough to admit im not a master in english.. But that doesnt mean he humiliated me.. He just made some baseless assumption.. Why dont u see that ? And he boast himself by acting ...

he mentioned the word 'maybe' in the first post. so that means he's not blatantly making any assumptions up. plus he couldn't be serious about it.

Read below qoute from Arissa_Sofea

Why Abu Talib remained pagan in life and at death?....the answer issimple....he made a choice as a concious human being with free-will

Islam is not a religion of force and Muhammad never forced anyone toaccept Islam....even his uncle...and Abu Talib loved Muhammad very much

Allah gives all humans free will with clean sheet...no sins atbirth.....then, growing up....they should use their free-will withtheir concious mind to choose to be the Islam believers orunbelievers....simple as that

Verily, Allah gives hidayah and point his creatures towards the right path if they choose to.....

my apologies for the mistake. truth.8 made no mention about forcing someone to accept islam. his questions were merely why can't he convince his uncle to embrace islam. well then again, she did mention about free-will. fair enough for an answer.

haha forgive me for i missed that out but then again forgive me but i think it's funny on how you can derive such conclusion.

You should ask ur friend T8 which school he is from..
So u say here Maybe means possibly but not certainly rite ?
Then maybe its certainly not possible

possibly but not certainly is a different context from certainly not possible. possibly but not certain means that there's still a slight chance that it might take place where as certainly not possible means that there's no chance of it taking place at all.

http://www.askoxford.com/concise_oed/maybe?view=uk - definition of maybe.

why abu talib never convert to islam -

why would he when Allah didn't give him the hidayah
to see the greatness in Islam --
this is to show how Great and Fairness  Allah is -
no matter who you are - what u do -
be it you are the just a farmer in a dell -
or you are the richest man in the country
or  even the uncle of prophet Muhammad s.a.w
you can never force people to accept Islam
without Allah decision and hidayah -

you can try your best - do a great thing -
but  iman is something that individual holds -

muhammad was only a human being - a holy man -
he was a messenger of Allah - certainly he's not god
he can't decide who will embrace Islam and who won't -
it is not up to him --
he can give advise  and he can show the right path
pray to Allah to give them hidayah and whatnot -
but he can't make people do things that they won't -
ultimately Allah is the one who made the decision -

hence - it's not up to Muhammad to make Abu Talib
convert to Islam regardless Abu Talib was his uncle -

Allah has His mysterious way why he made things as they are -

we are not here to judge His decision -

The TRUTH is not only prophet Muhammad SAW closest relatives didn't embrace his message, in fact the same issue also occured to other honorable prophets for instance, the father of prophet Abraham a.s. is an idol worshiper and he also responsible for manufacturing stone idols.

Prophet Noah a.s. son known as Canaan is one of the non-believers who perished under the great flood.

The wife of prophet Lot a.s. also didn't believe the message uttered by her own husband and perished in the city of Sodom.

If we have brain to think, we can see the patterns above. Those who are against the previous prophets are close family members like father, wife and son. However in the case of Muhammad SAW Abu Talib can be consider as a distant relative. The only reason why they have close relationship is because Abu Talib took care of Muhammad SAW since he was an orphan as a child and they have a father-son relationship all these years.

I don't see the rationale under this topic because as for me faith is a blessing from God and God alone. No human being in this world has the power to control other people's faith and thoughts. This thread only showing that Muhammad SAW is an honorable man and he never force someone, not even the member of his own family, to embrace Islam.

It is very interesting to know why his uncle remained as pagan.Take for example; our parents know what kind behavior we are. Like Abu talib , he surly know that  Muhammad never be a prophet or his uncle believe this guy is making up story. If Muhammad indeed a prophet and brought true religion, surly Abu talib would convert to islam yet he did not.

There are no compulsion in Islam, its shows that Prophet Muhammad didn't practice forced conversion like you earlier claimed.

After Aminah's death when he was six, he was taken care of by his grandfather, `Abdul Muttalib. After `Abdul Muttalib's death when Muhammad was eight years old, his uncle, Abu Talib, became his guardian. Abu Talib used to take Muhammad on his mercantile trips to as far as Syria. At the deathbed of Abu Talib, Muhammad urged his uncle to confessed Allah, even though deathbed confession is not acceptable in Islam. Abu Talib died a pagan. See Abu Talib for more details.

Besides Abu Talib, the Jews  chosen by God also rejected Muhammad teachings.

This is interesting, now tell me how many peoples did Jesus converted during his teaching compare to Prophet Muhammad.According to your beliefs, Jesus is god,now tell me why did the Jews rejected your god's words?

There is one possibility here; the whole teachings of muhammad cannot be authenticated from true God. Why I says this because Islam still have pagan ritual and practiced. Example:

1) Fridays worshipped. Hindus kept Friday worshipped

2 Bowing direct/indirectly to an object 5x. the pagan does this all the time

3)  Shaving hair while performing pilgrimage   .  All pagan religion shave hair while performing their pilgrimage. one example during thaipusam, in river of ganges , india, hindus performs pilgrimage by shaving hair and etc.

4)  circling around infront of object. hindus does that by circling their house of god.

5)  touching and kissing black stone. hindus believed black stone is represent of siva

6) throwing stone . never the Bible record such teachings

and list goes on.

From above I can conclude that Islam not a true calling from God of Abraham . Its a man made religion blend with pagan ritual and breaking God important hand written Sabbath.

I guess Christianity are more close to paganism, just check out Emperor Constantine you'll know the answer .

Another interesting story, why Malays like to be Arab wannbe because all arab name like abu talib, hassan and few others not islamic name but can be pagan name?  for example abu talib, he was a pagan...surly his name got some  pagan meaning. just like malay used to hve name like melur, mawar, tanjung and etc. so, why  bothered to have arab name or just to be arab wannabe?

Why don't you just check first your name,it may have a pagan roots too.So what's your name?
