The Company
Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn Bhd, or better known as Litrak is the concessionaire of Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong. Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) was completed in December 1999, months ahead from its tentative 30 months construction schedule, thus reflecting the sound management and technical expertise of Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn Bhd (LITRAK). LDP has 4 toll plazas ? TP1 (Penchala), TP2 (Petaling Jaya), TP3 (Puchong Barat) and TP4 (Puchong Selatan).
LDP is aimed to alleviate congestion in the city and allows for greater capacity on the north-south corridor, stretching 40 km from Sri Damansara in the north, connecting Petaling Jaya and Puchong and Putrajaya in the south. Increasingly, more economic activities along LDP corridor generate higher volume of daily commuting on the Highway.
An intra-urban highway, the LDP allows you to travel in, out and within residential areas and easily access townships in Kepong, Damansara, Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya, Puchong and Shah Alam. Its 14 interchanges promote faster and convenient local traffic dispersal with its easy-to-remember coded system for entry and exit on the highway.
In keeping up with the vast growth of traffic volume due to major developments along the alignment, LITRAK has embarked on a 6 interchanges project which includes construction and upgrading of Kelana Jaya Interchange, PJS7/PJS9 Interchange, Puchong Jaya Interchange (upgrading), IOI Mall Interchange, Taman Puchong Industry Interchange and Kg. Bharu Interchange (upgrading). The project, which has begun in December 2002 and is expected to complete early 2005.

Additional Toll Lanes At Penchala Toll Plaza North-Bound
Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn Bhd, a concessionaire for the Lebuhraya Damansara ? Puchong (LDP) opened four additional toll lanes at the Penchala Toll Plaza? Northbound on Monday (25 September 2006).
The mode of transaction for these additional toll lanes is cash, as to reduce queuing time for customers who prefer to pay in cash. With the recently completed lanes, the Penchala Toll Plaza has a total of 11 cash lanes, two ?ouch and Go? lanes and two Smart Tag lanes.
LITRAK Chief Executive Officer, En Sazally Saidi said the opening of the additional cash lanes would reduce customers? queuing time.
?e have been working hard to open these additional lanes during the fasting month, where most of our customers would be rushing home at the same time of the day, which normally results in massive congestion at toll plazas,? he said.
?opefully, these new lanes would help our cash-paying customers pass through the toll plaza quicker and easier as the queue is shorter,? Sazally added.
However, he strongly recommended LDP users to use electronic mode of payment such as Touch and Go and Smart Tag for greater convenient. ?here is a definitely smoother flow of traffic at electronic lanes,? he said.
Sazally added that LITRAK is continuously looking for measures to enhance the traffic flow along its 40km highway.
Also present at the event was Bukit Lanjan State Assemblyman YB Yong Dai Ying.

PENCHALA LINK A BETTER ALTERNATIVE FOR MRR2
The temporary closure of the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) due to safety reasons beginning early February 2006 should not deter motorists from the convenience of travelling in the city.
Road users from Kepong, Bandar Sri Damansara and Sungai Buloh can avoid massive traffic congestion on the MRR2, especially during peak hours, by using the Penchala Link, SPRINT Highway to get to the city centre. Likewise, road users from the city centre, Batu Caves, Gombak, and Selayang can also enjoy the convenience of smooth flow traffic at the Penchala Link to reach Petaling Jaya, Sungai Buloh and Sri Damansara on the western part of the city (please refer to the map for direction).
Those from the western part of the city can enter the 5.5km Penchala Link via the Lebuhraya Damansara - Puchong at the Penchala Interchange (near Tesco hypermarket in Mutiara Damansara). On the other hand, the motorists from the city centre or the eastern part of the city can enter Penchala Link via Jalan Duta or Kerinchi Link at Mont Kiara. It takes only about five minutes to travel pass the Penchala Link.
The smooth drive on the Penchala is certainly a better alternative to the congested MRR2. Apart from cutting the journey time short, it also help the motorists to save on the petrol cost which is getting too expensive with the recent price hike. Furthermore, a smooth drive also reduces stress while driving.
Should you encounter any problem, kindly call LITRAK for assistance at 03-74947333. |
