English Premier League giants Liverpool are close to signing Ghana U20 star Mumuni Abubakar
The New Edubiase United captain impressed Kop boss Kenny Dalglish on trial this month.
Abubakar returned home on Friday and meet expectations after playing in friendly with the Liverpool reserve side against Tranmere Rovers.
The 18-year-old: "They were impressed by my performances during training and the match that I played. The technical team like my style of play, so hopefully they will sign me," the New Edubiase United skipper told Joy Sports.
"When you go to trials, they talk to your agent and not you the player. Liverpool is talking with my agent (Oliver Arthur) now.
"They're impressed with my performances so we should get a favourable response."
Abubakari was spotted by Liverpool scouts during a friendly with the Ghana U20 against Serie A side Parma in November last year.

Liverpool are close to clinching a deal for Portugal U19 playmaker Joao Carlos Teixeira.
The Sporting Lisbon youngster starlet grabbed Liverpool's attention by scoring against them in the NextGen - a Champions League-style tournament for youth teams.
Teixeira, who has just turned 19, is set to sign on at Merseyside for a deal worth up to just ￡850,000, according to Portuguese newspaper Record.
The playmaker, who has come through the same academy as Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, Figo and Paulo Futre, was reportedly targeted at the insistence of Liverpool's academy technical manager Jose Segura.
Teixeira has shown enough promise to train with Sporting's first-team this season, but has yet to make his senior debut. |

Fenerbahce are set to wrap up a ￡10million deal for Arsenal and Liverpool target Moussa Sow, just days after the exciting Lille striker reiterated his desire to play in the Premier League.
Sow is expected to arrive in Turkey in the next 48 hours to seal the transfer, after being convinced to join by former Fenerbahce player and current international team-mate Mamadou Niang.
The news will come as a blow to both Arsenal and Liverpool, who were known long-term admirers of the Senegal striker.
Reds boss Kenny Dalglish was especially keen, but had hoped the Anfield influence would mean Liverpool didn't have to enter a bidding war with Fenerbahce.
Sow said yesterday: "I want to play in England. Liverpool, well, that is a dream club. Anyone would be happy, scoring goals in front of the Kop can be the highlight of a career."
However, Lille are said to have accepted the Turks offer last night, and have already moved for a replacement, agreeing a deal for another Liverpool target, Brest frontman Nolan Roux.
Dalglish still remains hopeful of adding at least two new players before the window closes though, with a striker and full back his top priorities.

Sky Sports understands Liverpool have handed a two-week trial to Swedish teenager Abdul Aziz, who has been dubbed the “baby Didier Drogba”.
The 14-year-old, who was born in Sierra Leone, has an excellent scoring record for his club ISK Norkopping and with the Sweden Under-15 national team. |
