No room for Theo and Foster is out as Capello hands Robinson England recall

Arsene Wenger was disappointed after England manager Fabio Capello stuck to his policy on unfit players and omitted Theo Walcott from his squad.

Capello watched Walcott come on as a substitute for Arsenal and score a stunning goal in the 6-2 win against Blackburn at the Emirates Stadium yesterday. It was his first appearance since the European Under 21 final against Germany on June 29.

Arsenal manager Wenger believes Walcott needs time on the pitch to recover his sharpest form and had hoped he would be included in Capello's squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Ukraine and Belarus. Manchester United keeper Ben Foster was also left out.

An unspecified injury was given as the reason. Foster has come under intense scrutiny after some highprofile mistakes and there are understood to be concerns among Capello's team over his form.

Capello deemed both Walcott and Chelsea's Joe Cole, who has made just three appearances for Carlo Ancelotti's side since returning from a serious knee injury, as not ready for an international return.Prior to Capello's squad being announced last night, Wenger had said: 'I'm happy to see him go because he needs games.

'I think he'll be called up but I don't know if it will be to play first for the Under 21s and then the first team, or something like that.' Capello has selected a full strength squad even though England have already qualified for the World Cup.

Sir Alex Ferguson faces a lengthy touchline ban for his withering verbal attack on referee Alan Wiley. Manchester United boss Fergie was furious with the official's display in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Sunderland. He said Wiley did not add enough injury-time and accused him of not being fit enough for the Premier League. The comments will today be reviewed by the Disciplinary and Governance Unit with a charge of improper conduct sure to follow.
