Would You Wear White Shoes With Black Tights?
Katharine McPhee isn't the only one working this graphic look -- we keep seeing white shoes paired with opaque black tights on a lot of red carpets. Is it the mod influence that's sweeping through fashion, or is it a flagrant flaunting of the old rules about wearing white shoes after Labor Day? We're all about getting the maximum wear out of everything in our closets, but we have to admit that we're not loving this look.

What's Up With That? Skirts As Dresses
Sometimes a photo does inspire at least 1000 words. The blogosphere was buzzing over Keira Knightley? recent outfit donned during a grocery- shopping excursion with perma-grunge boyfriend Rupert Friend. It? probably not a cut up pillowcase (as mentioned on Go Fug Yourself ) or a tucked up sheet (as mentioned on PopSugar ). My guess is that it? a skirt doing double duty as a strapless sundress, a look seen on multi-tasking NYC fashionistas. Barring sudden movements or stiff breezes, the belt-as-bra is holding up this concoction for dear life. When most starlets wear a dress once and banish it to the back of the closet forever, you have to at least admire Keira? desire to get the max out of her wardrobe.
