The Malaysian ringgit's free fall against the Singapore dollar stood out amid yesterday's global rout of currencies, stocks and commodities. For the first time, one Singapore dollar could fetch RM3 in foreign exchange trading. Long queues formed at money-changers islandwide, including at The Arcade (above), where people waited in line to snap up ringgit. Fifty years ago, the Singdollar was on a par with the ringgit .

But analysts believe the ringgit will not stay at this level for long.
"Markets have been in overshooting mode because of the convergence of negative news - falling oil prices, political turmoil, China," said UBS Wealth Management foreign exchange strategist Tan Teck Leng. "In the long term, the ringgit is really undervalued and such a level should not persist on a 12-month basis."

Matawang satu donia memang jatuh merundun. Kebanyakan Negara-Negara
Asean membiarkan saja matawang mereka jatuh, langsung tidak menggunakan
simpanan reserve to propt up their money. Kata Bloomberg, ASIAN sudah
matang in dealing with the fall.
Apa guna membazirkan duit reserve berbillion, bukan boleh haling kejatuhan.
Hanya PAKAR MATAWANG BODOH saja yang terpekik terlolong.
Sedangkan bukan jah matawang jatuh berdentum, saham pun menjunam.
Semalam DAW JONES jatuh terok sampai 1084.4 points!!!!
Penutupnya, baik sikit. Jatuh hanya 588.5 points.
Nampak gayanya hari ni sume share market satu ASIA akan merundum.
Jangan terpekik terlolong ye.
