Artists of SM Entertainment will not be taking part in the 2009 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
SME announced on November 3rd that their artistes including Super Junior, SNSD, SHINeeand f(x) will not be attending MAMA. The reason given was that MAMAwill be using a process similar to how MNET's music program M!Countdown selects its winners, and SME does not trust the method norbelieve that it is fair.
SME does not trust in Mcountdownbecause of what happened with SNSD's massive hit Gee. While the songtopped charts of other television networks for 9 weeks in a row, itfailed to reach number one in Mcountdown even once. It only made top 10one whole month after the song's release date. SME thinks that becauseof this, Mnet's method of deciding on winners cannot be trusted.
SMhad also stated that "The 2009 MAMA voting required the members to payat least 3000W (~USD$3) before allowing them to vote". MNet hadresponded that "It is to prevent excessive voting by fans, thus riggingthe results."
SME believes that they do not want fans of SME'sartists to be spending too much money just to cast votes for theirfavourite artists and hence asked Mnet to withdraw SME's artists from candidates.
Earlierthis evening, we reported that SM Entertainment had decided to boycott2009 MAMA. Mnet was swift with their response to SME's claims againstthem.
In a phone interview with Money Today, a representative of Mnet said the following:
Inwoo and SME mentioned that fairness in selection of candidates wasquestionable, but that is not true. All candidates were selected fairlythrough music chart and data collected on Mnet.com.
If we wereto try and exclude artists of certain company, we wouldn't have putartists of those companies on our candidate list to begin with. Also,we would be risking our reputation and fairness if we were to changethings just because major entertainment companies disagree with oursystem. If companies keep complaining about year end ceremonies, thensuch event cannot exist. The point of this ceremony is celebration by all artists who shined this year with their hard work, so I wish that artists would forget about receiving award or not and just put on an amazing show.
Regardingthe fee to vote, the representative explained, "This was done toprevent fans from casting multiple votes on specific artists. It wasnot done for profit. We are planning on donating profit earned from thevoting process back to the music industry."
The possibility ofSME coming back to MAMA still looks very low. MAMA is just over tendays away, so stay tuned to allkpop for more news on the event!
This week, our school had its first round of exams.
The person who ranked number one for the science exam in our class is unbelievable.
So the teacher said that this person, who's been missing from class recently, was ranked number 3 in the whole grade for the science exam.
Our teacher also said that this person reminds him of DBSK's Changmin from back in the day.

sobasically at the recording of kim jung eun's chocolate today, onew saidthat jonghyun is fine. he said that jonghyun will be coming back soonand told jonghyun's fans not to worry about him. i think there is alsothe mention of ss501's hyunjoongwho assured that taking tamiflu will ensure recovery and that jonghyunwill recover in no time. jonghyun is currently resting at home ie. withhis parents and sister.

Minhois very manly, Taemin always into details with things around him, Keyhas his own personality which is special and Onew hyung is very polite.

I want to go back when I was in elementary school, I will focus on my music subject and make the best out of it.

Istill remember. I want to go back when I was 7 years old! I want to get100 points from the exam. I want to be trained so I can be a goodsinger. Study hard and more capability to do stuff.

Shopping marathon ( It doesn't mean I like to shop but I'm just interested in fashion and like to window shopping)

My tears dropped while I was watching TV drama.

Itwas almost my birthday. I did a promo tour in Japan, Thailand, Taiwanand then came back to Korea. It was very nice to have SHINee Worldcelebrate my birthday with me.

Therewas one time when I had dinner. I had a laugh with something then myfood stuck in my throat, that made everyone around me staring!

Key (myself) I want to be an ordinary boy when I'm 17 not when I'm a singer.

Jonghyunis a Dinosaur (he looks like a dinosaur) Onew Hyung is our big brother(He always be our leader and taking care of us) Key hyung is like amaster key ( a master key that can unlock or do everything) and Minhohyung is a model (he's really tall)

I'd like to go back when I was a trainee. I'd like to train harder.
