basically xde beza...end product still chartered accountant...cuma cost may differs...icaew cost around rm 26k for tution fees (if u r under sponsor)..self sponsor students have extra charges..acca ada 3 stages..icaew ada 2 stages...1st stage 8 papers...2nd 3 papers...1 st stage kene finish with a max attempt of 6..2nd stage 4...for 2nd stage student must have a authorsed training organisation...the advance case study in the 2nd stage can only be attempted at 4th year of your training contract....icaew no part time class...all full time...if you need to take all the exam i.e you dont have any exemptions..you may spend half of the year in class...paid or not your salary depends on your firm (whether u ve been confirmed to the job or not)...the total cost tution fees and exam fess etc may ends up to 40k or more...not inclusive all the given study leave....icaew have a high passing rate..but bear in mind that is not because its easy..but because 70% of the candidate if i am not mistake has 1st class honours or at least strong 2.1 (kindly look in their website)...wil you suffer?yes!you need to study hard...unless you attached to my firm which give leave for weekdays when u attend the classed..otherwise u'll need to find ur own time...last time around..people failed in the exams...bear in mind...test is conducted every week...if you consistently failed the test or no improvement..you'll be barred for taking exam..and deferred to the next round..not trying to scare you...but few of my friends left already due to failures..wish u all the best in deciding!

layan kalau ko minatak...finalist acca tu apa?dh lulus exam ke belom?kalau dah lulus xde hal..cuma aku rasa kalau ko masuk big 4 ko akan start paling tinggi pon senior associate 1..gaji mungkin xsampai 3 kot...kalau english ok.xde masalah join big 4...aku rasa kt sini english is first language la...tapi cuba la...cuma kalau ko join akan ada shock la..dalam audit xde free time...semuanya effective..

masuk audit firm, jadi audit assistant (nama je assistant tapi exec level).  juga, tiada pilihan melainkan anda mengikuti kursus professional acca.  kalau tak, susah nak majukan karier anda nanti.

shared service accounting ialah sesuatu yang tak dapat dielakkan.  banyak syarikat ingin mengurangkan belanja & masalah perundangan, ramai akan memilih khidmat sebegini tambahan pula suasana yang semakin kompetitif memaksa yuran perkhidmatan menjadi semakin rendah..

then ada company yg buat accounting centre kt certain region..
mcm kat m'sia ni...KL jadi Asia Pacific Accounting Centre utk company
mcm BAT,Shell,IBM,BASF etc..kalau ada lagi bleh tambah

Ada tak sesaper kat sini yang ambik kelas for CIMA?

Aku nak ambik ACCA kena ambik 8 paper lagi, CIMA cuma 5 paper je, tapi macam tak banyak kolej offer kelas except for area KL lah. Jenuh nak travel dari Shah Alam lepas keje.

Mintak2lah ada yang tengah pursue.

What do you mean? Accountants don't have personalities... they don't even have life...

hehe..just joking.. i'm also thinking of going into accountancy profession in the future...

I guess what you need is:

self-confidence, abilities to work effectively in team, and some kind of fetish with numbers..not calculations since all accountants know how to do is addition...but numbers...

kalau jawatan penolong atau pembantu akaun atau audit ni kan, adakah acca/mia/cima kira experience dia?

and kalau jawatan accountant atau auditor pun, adakah experience mrk ni dikira if takde mentor yg qualified?

How about MIA mentor?

any accountant can be a mentor for candidates. when i say accountant i mean "MIA member" since it's illegal to call yourself as an accountant unless you are registered with MIA.

for ACCA - not sure

yes.. your position name does not play significant role.. it'smore about what you do

ii. as i've said before the word "accountant" is protected by law. <you are supposed to be a member of MIA if you want to call yourself as an accountant>. in term of qualifying experience, it should be okay. worse come to the worst, ask your external auditor to verify it.
