Basikal Polis Paris guna Mountain Bike Custom Made nampak elegance... Malaysia guna basikal bodo.... padahal Mountain Bike sebiji baru 2-300 je... kalau order banyak, mungkin kos dalam 100+ je... Nak berkejar ke hulu ke hilir ok le sikit naik mountain bike jenis ada gear pelbagai ratio ni.. bab tayar tak perlu guna off road, cuma guna intermediate je macam polis Paris tu... |

The news about the SP Howitzers is probably the most exciting one. |

This is a translation that I got from another forum. Hope this helps.
Moreover, the commander disclose that the army will simultaneously introduces 2 kind of designs tracked and the wheeled self-propelled artillery.
揟racked and wheeled is of different design, are compatible to the demand of different terrain. |

seems like it. I hope they will not procure Ceasar but acquire G6-52 instead. for tracked ones, T6-52 is available using PT-91M chassis. Greater commonality. |

kalau betul tugas pengintipan, perlukah mereka mendedahkan diri sebagai
anggota polis? :hmm: |

Not directly related to ATM. |

Unfortunately your hope will likely not materialize. Front runner today is Ceasar and K-9 Thunder.
Archer is also hot on the heel but unlikely as it can't fit into C-130 that it is intended for, support PAC operation. |

I don't like wheeled SPH such as Caesar for its lack of protection for both man who are operating it and the sensitive targeting equipment. the vehicle itself is vulnerable to shrapnel from airburst. Another is the chemical weapon threat. try operate a gun in the middle of the day while wearing a full NBC suit and see how long those men lasts. the planner must take into account that enemy's counter battery reaction time is very fast. they can detect projectiles as soon as they are fired and determine the location of our battery and launch a counter battery attack before our projectile even hit the ground.
K-9 is good. better still, take the Firtina instead.

Precisely. To me, it's simply mind boggling. Fine, you want a gun that have excellent mobility and can be transported by the hercs. But at what expense?
with all due respect, IMHO our 105mm model 56 pack howitzers are far more suitable for PAC operations. It can be air dropped directly to area of operations, light enough to be towed by a Land Rover or even Perodua Kembara and can do direct fire on open sight for anti tank role. |

I think Firtina is K-9 build under-license in Turkey. I may be mistaken. |

But it can not do shoot and scoot like Ceasar. It'll be destroyed after the first salvo if the counter-battery is so effective like what you said in #415. |

Same goes with Ceasar. only that it has some probability of being able to shoot and scoot just in time, other than the fact that it is more expensive, not air droppable (I don't know whether it can be delivered by LAPES though) and is for the time being, is only used by France in limited numbers. Hmmm... better go something that has protection for the crew while in combat. Archer perhaps? |
