I have an emotional attachment to the Turks. Maybe because they are Muslims like us too. Maybe because their soil was once the basis of the great Islamic Ottoman Empire.
Apa2 pun, diorang memang mempunyai ramai technical players like Emre Belozoglu, Yildiray Basturk, Nuri Sahin and Hasan Sas, just to name a few.
By the way, I'm really impressed by their performance and improvement at the world stage. Just the goal we need to achieve in our home soil....

Premiership - Tuncay joins Middlesbrough

Premiership - Turkey striker Tuncay Sanli has completed his free-transfer move to Middlesbrough. The 25-year-old leaves Superliga champions Fenerbahce for the Riverside subject to receiving a work permit.
"We're delighted that Tuncay has committed his future to Middlesbrough," Boro chief executive Keith Lamb said. "He is a major star in Turkey so it is a big coup for us to have signed a player of his quality on a free transfer."
Tuncay had been expected to sign for Boro for the past few weeks and had been awaiting a visa to travel to England to put pen to paper and pass a medical. He has signed a four-year deal.
There should be no problems with the UK home office as he is a regular international with an excellent goalscoring record for club and country. He comes as a direct replacement for Mark Viduka.
