using dns yg sedia ada sering membawa masalah/error. kadang2 dpt point nameserver2 tersebut ke domain, kadang2 tak dapat. kat dnsreport pula sering keluar error seperti missing nameserver, lame nameserver, SOA error, MX category dan connection failed to mail server.
bagaimana pula kalau saya cuba register new dns kat domain registrar, menggunakan public ip yg saya ada? possible tak benda ni? |

mintak tolong sesapa check kat dnsreport, apa kah masalah domain ni tak boleh resolve

sorry, lambat reply. i'm out of town until next week.
oobi dapat test your domain, dressingdesign.com. i was able to nslookup and get to the website (under construction). but, oobi tak boleh buat traceroute - went to los angeles region followed by san francisco bay area region and san jose region. once it went out of san jose region, it timed out - this is puzzle me. i was able to ping though. so, i don't think the server blocks traceroute request since it didn't block ping request (usually people block ping request). may be we have issue at san jose gateways, or somewhere between that and your gateways.
when i did nslookup against dressingdesign.com, it gave me an ip address. when i did reverse lookup, it didn't give me back dressingdesign.com, but instead it gave me dns server, ns5.dnsecure.biz. unless dressingdesign.com is a canonical name, then it should give me back the A record, which is dressingdesign.com. from dns report, it showed that dressingdesign.com is an A record.
then, oobi tried another method of nslookup and found out that it final destination was ns5.dnsecure.biz, not dressingdesign.com (unless the admin purposely stop all requests to your domain at ns5.dnsecure.biz).
try fix your reverse lookup record.

skarang ni saya testing guna domain azzuri.org. dapat guna new dns, nameserver, domain pun dah resolve dgn ip tapi masih keluar error yg sama. antaranya adalah opendns, missing (stealth) nameserver, stealth ns record leakage, |

dan lagi pertanyaan berkenaan nameserver. biasanya nameserver perlukan dua IP kan, untuk 2 nameserver. skarang ni saya cuma ada satu IP. perlukah saya request lagi satu public IP, dan ke mana kah IP ini akan pointed, ke IP local server jugak kan? |

dns server ni sama macam server lain, it needs only one IP address. only gateway server needs two IP addresses, such firewall. Or if you want to do network balancing, to split production and staging network, etc. so, if you want to have more than one dns server, then you need more than one IP address - 3 dns servers, 3 IP addresses (one fo each dns server).
so, kalau you ada satu dns server and want to build another, then you need to obtain another IP address (doesn't matter if dns servers are internal or external). each server needs one unique IP or there will be a conflict.

well, oobi tak boleh trace your azzuri.org domain. could not nslookup nor ping. so, fix this issue first and see if the error still there. just fyi, dns=nameserver.
