Kelly Clarkson makes a stands
Kelly Clarkson's latest album has been finished since January, but willnot be released until July 24th. And Kelly seems far from impressedwith her record label.
Some gossip sites have been reporting that there has been some tensionbetween the former American Idol and label mogul, Clive Davis on whatthe album should sound like.
MTV Radio caught up with Kelly earlier in the week and here's what she had to say.
"Everybody always wants me to go in different directions. Obviouslythey're a record label so they need to sell records.They want theformula writers and the formula producers that do everybody else'sstuff, and while I love some of those people... and I don't mindworking with that...I just don't like working with someone that givesyou a song and is like, 'Oh, I wrote this for you.' But you find outthat they've given it to every other artist and they turned it down,you know?"
Kelly might've been feeling pressure from her label, but she didn't back down.
"My label literally sent me a Lindsay Lohan track from her last albumand wanted me to record it for my new album. And while I like LindsayLohan, like I'm cool with her and I think she sings the song well...it's already been on an album. I don't care what pop star it is."
Clarkson was kind of offended by the whole situation. "They were justsending me stuff that was like almost insulting. I'm like, 'You can'teven find new songs?"
"You don't want me to write my album but you're sending me hand medowns?' So, I ended up writing the entire thing with the people that Iwrite well with."

but i gotta say that her first single not as good as her previous stuffs..
hmm like.. i dont know
just not as great as her previous singles..
and Never Again doing not really good in the billboard..
she need something refreshing..
hopefully she will have a great 2nd single choice to help her new album..
by the way
i cant wait for this album too..
im expecting more from miss Kelly  |

nashrudean - About the 'Desprate Housewives' part, pernah dgr ade org tanye gak. N kalau tak silap, nk tunjukkan yg perfect relationship (yg melibatkan perfection from either partner pn tak wujud). Kalau tgk towards the end of the vc, Kelly yg 'desprate housewives' yg tinggalkan/dump the guy. Make sense, eh? |
