this worked for me but org lain aku tak sure

tips untuk kegunaan masa exam n masa kerja:  dont memorize but understand the principles thoroughly.. kes bukan untuk dihafal tp untuk difahami..  important ingredients for all subjects:  the principles and the application thereof. kalau faham kes tu pasal apa, tak payah hafal dah.  as for nama kes, aku faham some might have to hafal. but if hafal je tp principles tak faham, u'll get stuck.

lagi satu.. when in doubt, read the judgment lebih drpd baca buku. textbooks help in outlining the principles or in listing out case apa that such principle was derived from.. yes.. but your primary reference shud be the cases/judgment. it helps you to understand better coz the explanation is more thorough. (but i understand.. bukan semua org ada masa nak baca cases)... when i did my civil procedure, our lecturer forced us to read hundreds if not thousands of cases. we didnt rely on  textbook.. kesannya lagi senang faham coz the judges dah explain in legth n  bila practice senang jer dah tau kes apa nak pakai.

oh yeah.. my prob masa belajar was mainly tak cukup masa coz too many assignments  masa final year.

emm dulu penah bukak post mcmnie...bagus gak kalo ikutkan...

well blajar law spjg pgalaman aku mmg menyeronokkan and challanging ur thinking, as final year LLB Hons nie just blajar law kat skool jer tak cukup..mesti expose kat luar baru tau...cth mcm subjek2 prosedur nie kekadang apa kita blajar lain dari apa kita dapat ms kat luar...

kalo nak ikutkan aku suke sbjek law yg mencabar mind and idea cth mcm consti, international law and juris...terus terang aku ckp aku lbh suker subjek2 nie...tapi aku mcm kureng sket kat bahagian yg prosedur...i admit that mcm land law, criminal, tort...kire mcm black-letter law laa....tapi at law school u can't choose kene blajar sume gak...nnt baru leh tau aper kita minat....

mmg blajar law complicated...kejap ada gen rule jap ada exception...biasalaa mcm idup kan, ada mender leh wat ada yg tak...ada peraturannya kan...ikut logik hehe....yg penting blajar law nie kene paham prinsip then baru ingat kes..mcm lect aku cterlaa u need to understand the principle then baru yg ranting2 nya tue....so u must read, know, analysis, remember and apply...baru blajar law jadi lebih paham...

Aku paling minat subjek public law, english legal system, criminology, international law dan tort masa undergrad. trust yang aku paling tak suka!

Masa master's, aku terus ambik specialisation in public, international and comparative law. Tu yang paling seronok sekali!

Kadang-kadang aku miss jugak baca subjek macam tort, contract dan criminal law. Land law and trust pulak, sampai mati aku taknak sentuh lagi..

Procedural law ni kalau macam tort, criminal aku boleh minat lagi. Tapi kalau land and trust, aku memang tak boleh relate langsung.

Masa aku buat undergrad law kat uk, my land law lecturer kat cardiff uni pun cakap yang land law kat england memang crap. Dia kata maybe masa parlimen draf law of property act 1925, diorang tengah mabuk sebab baru keluar dari parliamentary bar. atau pun disebabkan dia tu northern irish, dia saja nak meng-antikan english land law! :lol

kalau kat malaysia, law faculty guna gpa system ke? kalau kat uk masa undergrad, dia suma guna final exam results untuk kira markah. dalam masa 3 tahun buat law, biasanya total 12 subjek kena ambik.

kat malaysia sama ke?

yep, guna GPA system, kalau kat UIA mostly 60% final and 40% CM vary ikut subjek
mostly average credit hour 18 i.e. 6 paper each sem memang payah la nak kurang dari tu, terlebih ader
mane yg tak larat nk amik memanyak or nak cepat grad 1 sem kena amik short sem

Masa aku undergrad aku guna UK punya sistem. Masa buat master's kat Australia ni aku guna GPA system. Jadi terkejut jugak aku masa tu nak adjust. Pasal GPA system ni memang aku ada bad academic history masa kat MRSM dulu. Tak pernah lepas 1 point something.

Budak-budak law semua ni selalu tak campur dengan budak fakulti lain? Biasanya, at some universities, orang law ni macam orang medic jugak. Selalu terperap kat fakulti sendiri dan cakap benda-benda law saja sesama sendiri. Kat uni korang pulak macam mana?

tapi most of my classmate memang berkepit ngan coursemate je pun kecuali la yg rajin nak bersociety n bergaul dgn org lain

Sekarang ni aku tengah buat research law. Tu yang paling susah sekali buat aku so far. Buat research law dibandingkan dengan coursework amat jauh beza. Aku nak modify 15-16 pages of paper pun terkial-kial.

Korang rasa subjek law mana yang paling menarik buat korang? Aku minat subjek macam constitutional law, english & malaysian legal system dan international law. Sebab aku suka belajar tentang konsep dan teori serta falsafah perlembagaan.

Aku buat postgrad dulu pulak banyak ambik comparative law subjek.

Sekarang ni aku tengah nak siapkan research paper law and development. pasal the role of law in asia-pacific development.

Korang kalau dapat peluang nak specialise dalam bidang apa?

chipmunk study law kat mana?

Consti dan juris, memang kalau betul-betul mendalami subjek ni, kita macam boleh faham all the reasonings behind the law contained in the procedural subjects. Mengapa mereka buat legislation contract, tort or criminal macam sebegitu.

chip study law kat uitm...kalau kat uitm nie lebih pada practical oriented so subjek mcm substantive nie tak ditekankan sgt...ada gak lect kate nie kekuatan uitm sbb lbh pada practical subjek...
teringat gak dulu..penah kwn2 chip kate ko nie layak wat law kat uia jer..tapi ntahlaa dapat uitm pun dah rasa bertuah sbb uitm di hatiku
kalo nak ikutkan chip suker subjek substantif mcmnie sbb lbh byk kite leh argue and related ngan current issues...chip mmg suke related dgn menda lain bler blajar law nie...takderlah asyik terikat ngan statute and kes jer manjang...kalo tak nnt cpt busan tau hehe....
LLM blajar law kat UK ker?
nak tanya kalo sambung master kat aussie ok x? sbb ari tue apply scholar skim lect muda, apply one univ kat sana...cdg nak amik bidang international law...k tak?

aku dulu buat LLB kat UK. LLM pulak buat kat Australia. International law bagus tu. Tak ramai orang yang ambik kat Malaysia ni. Kalau nak ambik international law memang susah nak cari course kat Malaysia ni. Unless kau ambik Master of Comparative Law kat UIA. Tapi tak taulah berapa banyak bezanya dengan LLM in international law. Ataupun buat LLM in international legal studies kat nottingham u malaysia campus.

Buat master's kat Aussie ni ok jugak. depends on the university. antara universiti yang terbaik untuk law di australia ialah melbourne, monash, sydney, unsw, anu dan queensland .
