Setahu aku semua gamba yg di-post betul sblm nie. The first one and the second one were both official CD covers sent to radio stations when Hurt was to start being played on the radios across the US. The latest one with Christina sitting on the circus bench is the one for the commercial single and i-Tunes. So none of them are wrong.
Anyway, Christina Aguilera's Hurt music video is one of the best short form videos I have ever seen. The story of the video enraptures you with its ode to the overacting of silent movies of the 40s. And I'm pretty sure its an ode to Linda Perry's father who died recently. Who was that actor anyway?
Anyway, sayanglak because Linda Perry didn't appear in the music video at all memandangkan the song was quintessentially and originally about her relationship with her father. Another shortcoming was sbb diorg tak gunakan Linda Perry for the beginning of the Enter the Circus opening sequence. Instead they used the end of Welcome and that guy wasn't impressive enough for me to take Linda's role. Aku dah bayangkan dah kalo ada Enter the Circus, aku nak cam part masa Pinocchio arrived kat that fun land with those donkeys in the Disney movie and Linda Perry dressing like a ringmaster dyke/butch with a long curly black moustache.
Besides that, what was written in that telegram sent to her? How did her father die anyway? Sayanglak citer dia terlalu pendek for this beautiful video. Aku cuma berharap that Christina will send this video for the short form video category in the Grammys this year. Kalo Missy Elliott leh menang for that category, why shouldn't she? Plus the video was directed by well-respected Floria Sigismondi.
All in all the music video is AMAZING, BREATHTAKING, FLABBERGASTING and BEAUTIFUL. I love it. I love how she captures the emotion of the song in the video and conveys it through the overacting. The best Christina Aguilera video so far.
