Located between Notting Hill Gate and Shepard's Bush tube station. Holland Park tube station is undergoing upgrading works till August2016, so the tube is temporarily closed. You can get off from either of the two stations and take a bus to Holland Park bus stop. Alternatively you can walk for about10-15 minutes. Holland Park is 22.5 hectares and has a beautiful Kyoto Garden, a Japanese garden donated by the Chamber of Commerce of Kyoto in 1991.
The Regent’s Park 166 hectares has the largest outdoor sports area in London. It has a football, softball, rugby and a cricket pitch. TheLondon Zoo is located here, as well as an open air theatre and a boating lake. You can get here by dropping off at Baker Street tube station. Along your way tothe park, you'll pass the Beatle's Store and next to it The Sherlock Holmes museum.
- Victoria Embankment Gardens
A small garden of 4.45 hectares. As you exit Embankment tube station heading to Charing Cross train station, the garden is just to your immediate right. A garden right in the centre of London. A few benches for you to relax. Not so much trees as you will find in the other parks but in spring, expect to find small patches of colourful tulips here.
Getting off your tube at St James's Park station to the Buckingham Palace, you can opt to walk through the 23 hectares of St James's Park. Just before reaching Buckingham Palace, in spring, there are tulips grown in the small garden in-front of the Palace.
This 19 hectares park is just opposite St James's Park. It also borders the Buckingham Palace. Walking from the Palace to the other end toget to Green Park tube station, you'll reach Piccadilly road where Limkokwing University is and a little further, opposite direction from the Green Park station, is the Rock Shop & Harkrock Cafe.
Greenwich Park is 74 hectares in area on a hill slope. You can enjoy sweeping views across the river Thames. You'll be able to see Canary Wharf and the O2 in the distance from here. Walk further up and you'll reach the Royal Observatory where it host the Prime Meridian line. You can get here by taking the DLR and getting off at Cutty Sark station. Or better still, getoff at Island Gardens station and take the Greenwich Foot Tunnel that runs under river Thames. You'll get out exactly in-front of the Cutty Sark sailing ship.
Most known of all parks in London. This 142 hectares park borders these tube stations. Queensway, Lancaster Gate, Marble Arch, Hyde ParkCorner, Knightsbridge and High Street Kesington. So after a hectic shopping spree at Oxford Street, head over to Hyde Park. Especially if Primark is your last shopping stop, it's a short 5-10 minutes’ walk away.
