skang 7 crews (setakat yg sy baca) ditahan utk siasatan.. at the same time, other investigations a ...

Kita kena lihat 'Load Chart' utk ketahui MAXIMUM LOAD yg di benarkan.
Ballast tanks juga perlu di lihat utk LOADING.

Ballast tanks varies mengikut LOAD CARGOES.

Yg di katakan kapal terbalik masih terapung, ini kerana ada AIR POCKET di bahagian FORWARD KAPAL.
Kebanyakkan kapal yg tenggelam...............sememangnya bahagian forwardnya ada yg paling terakhir akan tenggelam.
MELAINKAN kalau ia patah dua kena torpedo. (patah tulang belakang)

Hangpa jangan laaa dok pikiaq mcm PILEM HOLLYWOOD plak. (POSEIDON)

Itu AUTA semua.........

Sulat kabaq KOREA pung x buat kajian yg berkenaan kapal nih.
Pakai belasah jer.....
Sedap jari menaip.
Menuding jari sana sini.....
Buat waris mangsa semakin marah.

Isk isk isk mcm MH370 plak haku nie......

bukan ke sebelum keje tu dorg dapat latihan dulu. antara latihan mestila situasi macam ni and org2 ni tak sepatutnya panik dlu.
ye dorg bole panik tapi bukan dorg org yg pertama panik. penumpang yes...

pagi ni ai depress baca report yg sorg mayat budak ditemui dgn tangan genggam. dalam genggaman dia tu is his ID. luluh hati baca wehhhh

Mcm drebar keter or loghi or bas laaaaaaaa
Bila dia nampak nak berlaku accident.......................apa dia akan buat???

Secara AUTOMATIK nya, dia akan selamatkan dirinya sendiri dim situasi tersebut.
Bila dah 'kena'..............baru dia sedaq perbuatan dia.
Bini dok sebelah.................dah mati.
Anak kesayangan.....................dah mati.
Dia jer yg selamat.

Menyesal??
Menangis??
Sedey??

Adakah dia secara sengaja memusing steering utk mematikan anak n isteri nya??

Itu lah di namakan INSTINCT.
Yakni utk selamatkan dirinya sendiri.


Nanti ada plak yg kata "Itu kereta...........bertindak dlm bbrp saat. Ini kapal..............Captain tu ada 30 minit utk membuat keputusan!!"

JINDO, South Korea, April 22 (Xinhua) -- The relatives of the Chinese passengers aboard a capsized South Korean ferry were battered on Tuesday, as rescuers pulled out more bodies from the ill-fated ship.

"How could my child die like this?" the grieving mother of a male Chinese passenger who was confirmed dead murmured to herself again and again.

The bodies of her son and another Chinese male were recovered on Monday, more than 100 hours after the 6,825-ton "Sewol" submerged in icy water with a total of 476 passengers and crew aboard off South Korea's southwest coast on April 16.

In what could be South Korea's worst maritime disaster in two decades, at least 108 people have died, 194 others were still missing as of Tuesday afternoon.

Coast guards carried the bodies covered in white cloth from a boat to a tent on Jindo Island for identification, where their family members were waiting in anguish.

Although 174 people were rescued shortly after the ship sank, the chances of finding more survivors are becoming increasingly slim seven days after the disaster.

CHINESE VICTIMS

The two Chinese men were identified according to their ID cards. One of them was found in waters where the ferry sank, the other was recovered inside the ship, South Korea's coast guard said on Monday.

"Yes, that's my boy," the mother, who preferred not to be named, burst into tears at the sight of her son lying still on a stretch and wearing the same coat as he boarded the ill-fated ship.

The mother had received a text message from her son saying the ship was delayed due to thick fog.

The ship, en route from the port of Incheon to the traditional honeymoon island of Jeju, departed some two and a half hours later than scheduled.

The Chinese embassy has confirmed that four Chinese nationals -- two men, a woman and a schoolgirl -- were among the missing passengers aboard the ship.

Parents of the missing teenage girl also confirmed the news, but declined to say whether she has gotten South Korean citizenship.

Passengers aboard the ship included 325 students and 15 teachers from Danwon High School in Ansan, a Seoul suburb, which, according to the Chinese embassy, is home to many Chinese nationals.

In recent years, a growing number of Chinese arrived in South Korea, as Seoul eased visa restrictions and devised favorable policies to attract Chinese tourists.

In 2013 alone, 3.92 million Chinese visited South Korea, overtaking Japan for the first time. The Chinese words "youke," meaning visitors, was even included in Korean vocabulary.

An international maritime convention on the safety of life at sea makes a captain responsible for the vessel and all the people on board, but it doesn't stipulate that the captain stay on the ship throughout the crisis.

"You don't necessarily want a captain dying with a ship. But he has a responsibility for the safety of everybody on board that ship," said Cade Courtley, former Navy SEAL and president and founder of SEAL Survival.

"He's got to be there and take care of that," Courtley told CNN. "And this guy didn't do that. He was one of the first off. I mean, that's kind of unforgivable, basically."


Criminal charges

Some countries, including Italy and South Korea, make abandoning ship a maritime crime.

And similarly to Schettino in Italy, Lee is facing criminal charges over his role in the disaster, including abandoning his ship, negligence, causing bodily injury and not seeking rescue from other ships.

South Korean President Park Geun-hye has likened the actions of Lee and some of the ferry's crew members to murder.

Assalamualaikum lionsleepin,

Benar.....
Setiap anak kapal di wajibkan mengambil kursus BOSET dan yg sewaktu dgn nya.
Yakni kursus berkenaan Emergency, Safety n Environmental.
Dan banyak lagi kursus kursus yg di wajibkan mengikut pangkat, department.

Setiap bulan mereka di wajibkan melakukan 'BOAT & FIRE DRILL'.
Bley check kat 'LOG BOOK' kapal tersebut. (dan ini sememangnya akan di siasat. Mengikut IMO)

'BOAT & FIRE DRILL' adalah latihan.
Ia BUKAN lah.........i repeat...BUKAN lah satu latihan yg SEBENAR.
Aku harap hangpa faham apa yg aku maksudkan.

Setiap LATIHAN...............sebolih bolihnya hendaklah MIRIP kepada kejadian yg SEBENARnya.
Tetapi sehampir mana latihan yg SEBENAR itu?

2 tahun lepas...........kebakaran berlaku pd sebuah pelantar.
Bila di lakukan siasatan................di dapati ada bbrp 'life boat' yg telah di lancarkan tanpa menunggu arahan Bos pelantar.
Kenapa?

Pelantar Minyak di kenali sebagai salah satu tempat kerja yg amat mementingkan KESELAMATAN.
Ia di tahap yg tertinggi berbanding dgn sektor laen.

Sama sama lah fikir.....

Jangan kita mudah menuding jari.

Hang dok drive 110km/h.
Tup tup bunyi thumping kat belakang keter hang.

Apa hang nak buat?
1. terus tekan brake n berhenti
2. perlahankan keter n terus berjalan n tunggu next thumping
3. lihat cermin belakang utk pastikan keadaan sekeliling selamat, then perlahankan keter n berhenti di tepi jalan.

Pilih lah................ataupun hang ada idea laen??

tak berniat nak tunding jari, more to terkilan sbb captain and anak kapal lari dulu.

Memang la kapten tu manusia.. x ckp plak kapten tu bukan manusia..

kalau cam situasi lori ko ckp.. dah tentu2 pemandu lori tu pun org tuding.. Apsal x selamatkan bini dia? Sama jer.. melainkan bini dia dah mati dlu ms dia masih dlm lori..

Ini kalau dia ada kesempatan selamatkan.. dia patut sselamatkan.. bkn larikan diri dlu..
Saksi, gmbr dah ada.. Soalan aku atau persoalan forumer sini adalah,

"Kenapa kapten dan sebilangan krew2 dia boleh selamatkan diri dlu sedangkan dia tahu masih ada ramai penumpang di dalam feri yang menunggu arahan dia."

Melainkan dia dah bg arahan yang menyatakan "Pakai jaket keselamatan, naik ke dek atau terjun ke laut dengan segera." Kawal anak2 kapal and suh anak2 kapal sampaikan arahan kepada penumpang2.. itu aku leh la terima.. Ni dia blah dlu.. Tengok jawapan anak kapal yg terselamat tu pun dah tau.

"Kapten suruh kami escape." Kapten suh anak kapal terdekat dia escape dlu.. Bukan suh anak kapal dia bg arahan kat penumpang suh escape. der, 400 penumpang der dlm feri tu.. bukan 4 org..

Dia basic knowledge tok semua org la.. semua tahu.. x kisah ko dlm kapal laut ker, bot ker, feri ker, kapal terbang ker. IF ada penumpang.. anak2 kapal kena jaga penumpang2 dlu.. anak kapal kena pastikan penumpang2 selamat dlu.. Kalau dia leh blah dlu, kenapa x bagi kat penumpang tok escape dlu.. kenapa kena 'dia' yg escape dlu? dah tu sapa nak kawal keadaan manusia2 dlm feri tu?

benda ni sense kot..

ni bukan knowledge dah instead latihan yg dibuat secara berkala. bila emergency happen, kita response mcm tindakan reflect tu. kalau pun xdapat selamatkan semua, at least minimize kan.

sgt2 curious apa reason captain suruh semua duduk dlm kabin tunggu arahan selanjutnya tp anak kapal dpt arahan suh selamatkan diri plak

Yerp.. meh la tunggu siasatan.. harap yg  bertanggung jawab kena hukuman setimpal.

tapi ayat ni dah bg info la berapa crew yg disuruh escape dlu.

Helmsman who abandoned the passengers and escaped the ferry immediately after the accident said,"The captain told us to escape so the ten of us escaped through the portside. I didn't see who escaped first but I think I was the 7th or 8th person to escape. He ordered for us to escape."

Memandangkan kiter ni noob bidang2 kapal feri ni kan? moh le kiter tunggu siasatan.. walopun kiter tahu basic knowledge crew kapal x leh escape dlu..

kita pilih no 3..sebab tu la kita rasa captain kene mintak passenger duk kawasan designated for evacuation...dan assign few anak kapal utk berkawal..kalau kapal makin senget..terus jump...

rather than keep waiting and waiting...kita bukan boleh predict apa akan jadi..it is best to always safe-guarded ourselves...
