Kan? aku terpikir 1 tu jer la. kapal dah senget dah.. why kena dok diam2 laik?
tunggu arahan kapten? atas alasan kapten dah panik. so lupa bg arahan? WTH.. aku x leh terima itu semua.. dia pikir diri dia tp dia lupa dia punya tgg jawab baper nyawa dia kena jaga? budak2 tu bkn jenis langgar arahan.. semua dgr kata sbb percaya kapten tu.. apa kes dia leh blah dlu?
patutnya dia la stay dlu.. ni dia blah.. aa nak dptkan bantuan ke kalau blah dlu? kalau nk dptkan bantuan pun dia leh hntr krew dia yg lain.. bkn dia yg pi.. nampak sgt la.. mmg patut la dia masuk penjara.

Helmsman who abandoned the passengers and escaped the ferry immediately after the accident said, "The captain told us to escape so the ten of us escaped through the portside. I didn't see who escaped first but I think I was the 7th or 8th person to escape. He ordered for us to escape."

When asked if the passengers received the same orders, "The chief mate was given orders and it's his job to contact the broadcasting room to make the announcement but I don't know the exact process."

When asked if crew are supposed to leave immediately when ordered to by the captain, he said, "According to the manual, you're supposed to save the old, weak, and the children first. As soon as orders are given, crewmen are supposed to make sure that all of the passengers have escaped, make another round with the captain to make sure again before getting off, and the captain is then supposed to make a final check to see if anyone is still on board before getting off last."

When asked why he didn't follow the manual then, he said, "How could I follow the manual in that situation? How could I make it to the cabins? You people are so strange. Who is going to broadcast this on TV? See, none of you are replying. I'll stand up confidently so release this on broadcast as is."

Yg ni pun aku musykil.. If la kapten suh dorg escape dlu kan.. x kan la dorg escape jer.. x kan dorg x pikir baper ramai nyawa yg ada lg dlm feri?
aku wonder camner dorg leh pikir diri sendiri jer?

perumpaan aku mcm ko punya rumah ada tetamu. umah terbakar.. tp ko lari dlu.. ko lebih arif ttg selok belok umah ko.. tp ko tinggalkan tetamu ko y x tau cmner nak kuar dr umah ko sbb x tau selok beloknyer.. siyes jawapan kru ni pun buat aku panas..

mcm x leh pikir.. mcm kalau kiter pi rombongan.. kalau bas nak berlepas.. budak2 skolah un tau kalau ada kwn2 dia yg x naik bas laik.. ni kan KRU?? dah besar.. dewasa.. dah cukup tua tok pikir nyawa2 yg tinggal..

Astaghfirullah... hidup la dgn rasa serba salah sampai abih.. bukan 1-2 nyawa.. more than 200++..

mula2 aku pon pelik apsal bebudak tu tak nak gerak sendiri ke upper deck persetankan arahan kapten bila mula dengar bunyi bang tu, tak dek survival instinct ke?

tapi tengok video baru kita tau sekejap je ferry to condong 50 darjah, saat bebudak dlm tu dah sedar feri tu mencondong, dah memang tak leh nak naik ke atas sudah.. sudah terlewat.

bayangkan bebudak tu ketakutan, bagi diorang arahan kapten tu betul sebab culture korea memang ikut cakap orang yg berkuasa pada tempat tu sebab katanya orang tua2 know better. baik2 je dok menceruk kat cabin tu.. tunggu org datang selamatkan.. tau2 ferry dah list sampai orang dlm tu tak leh gerak ke mana2 lagi. rescue nan hado.

In a way, it was inevitable that the ship lost its balance, listed and sank if you take a look at the structure of the ship.
The lowest level houses the engine and the ballast tank, where water for balancing the vessel must be loaded before departure.
The company had expanded its capacity and authorities approved the renovation under one condition, that the company increase the amount of water in the tank to secure its balance.
This according to inspection data released by opposition lawmaker Kim Young-rok Tuesday.
The Sewol-ho ferry can only load cargo of less than a thousand tons and must load balancing water of 2-thousand tons due to renovations which elevated the ship's center of gravity by half a meter. But over 3,600 tons of cargo including 180 vehicles were on board the sunken ferry.
It's doubtful that the ferry had sailed with enough water in the tank since more water on board means more fuel is needed for the 68-hundred ton vessel.
Another piece of evidence that supports this theory is that the ship sank upside down, suggesting there was more air in the bottom level of the vessel than water in the ballast tank.

What other evidence is there that the operator may have intentionally overloaded the ship?

It turns out that the revenue from shipping cargo was a cash cow for the company, which was suffering from operating losses in the slumping shipping industry.
According to an audit report of Cheong Haejin Marine Company, its cargo profits continued to rise -- eventually exceeding passenger shipping revenue. That amounted to some 19-million U.S. dollars in 2013, up more than 70 percent from four years earlier.

And apparently this investigation into the company moves beyond just this case and into the marine company's corporate malfeasance in other areas?

Detention warrants have been issued for the four additional crew members that were arrested yesterday -- they are not the three, including the captain, that were already taken into custody over the weekend.
The special investigation team, earlier in the day, also imposed travel bans on 30 additional personnel related to the Cheonghaejin Marine Company.
The National Tax Service has launched a special probe into four firms that are closely related to the ferry's operator.
The prosecution is also looking into whether the operator's management and the family which owns the company have evaded taxes or embezzled funds by making illegal overseas transactions.
The marine operator is just one part of this almost-conglomerate that looks more and more suspicious as investigation gets underway.
In the meantime, the oceans ministry is currently looking into revoking the ferry operator's shipping business license.

Kapten sepatutnya orang terakhir yang keluar dari kapal. Kalau ada org mati, kapten kena mati sekali. Tapi yang vice principal sekolah budak2 kat korea tu yang dah gantung diri kat gym sekolah dia. Tragik sungguh.

Sepatut masa bunyi thumping tu captain dh suh pegi evacuation area and pakai life jacket..feri senget x senget belakang kira..kalu senget leh terus bukak bot..kalu x sengwt dn keadaan kembali terkawal..leh suh passenger masuk balik

Kan? kira ni perkara org ckp normal yg dorg patut taahu as a crew..
Kapten suh lari.. dorg ikut lari.. x kan x der sorg pun tanya balik kapten "Habis, mcm mana dgn penumpang2 kiter kapten? mereka selamat x?"

Nonsense dorg x pikir org lain.. ni sbb dorg pikir org lain la dorg selamatkan diri dlu.. Semua org tau kalau ko nak berlepas feri tu pun, ko pastikan penumpang semua dah ada dlm feri.. baru berlepas.. so, kalau ko nak blah pun.. sblm ko blah ko pastikan semua penumpang blah dlu... human sense dorg biar benar? atas alasan selamatkan diri aku x leh terima.. jawapan plak bg mcm x rasa bersalah.. mcm dia mangsa.. yer, betul dia mangsa gak.. tp dia lupa tgg jawab dia tok jaga nyawa org lain gak.. Assalamualaikum atira,

3rd Officer walaupun di kategori sebagai JUNIOR OFFICER, dia mempunyai 'banyak' pengalaman sebagai navigator.
Sekiranya..........i repeat...........sekiranya Master of the Vessel rasa keadaan agak merbahaya, dia akan naik ke bridge utk membantu.
Btw, 3rd officer jugak di bantu olih AB.

Setiap laluan yg akan di ambil, sudah pung di garis pandu olih 2nd Officer.
Tambah plak ia adalah laluan routine mereka.

Sebab tu aku kata, kita perlu bersabaq n tunggu siasatan Pihak Berkuasa sebelum membuat pelbagai andaian.

Master of the Vessel bertugas 24/7 di atas kapal.
Dia 'tidak bertugas' hanya bila dia balik bercuti kat daghat sahaja.

"Bertugas' tidak semesti nya dok pegang 'wheel' kat bridge.
