Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hopes midfielder Mathieu Flamini could be fit for Sunday's Barclays Premier League clash with Chelsea with Cesc Fabregas' absence likely to continue.
Flamini, Robin van Persie and Abou Diaby could all be involved in the crucial fixture but midfield talisman Fabregas and Belarus international Alexander Hleb are still not fully recovered. "The one who has a realistic chance is Flamini," Wenger told arsenal.com. "One who could be in the squad is Van Persie. Diaby could be in the squad as well. "We don't know about Cesc and Hleb."

Arsenal rival Man Utd for America star Ochoa

Manchester United face competition from Arsenal and Bayern Munich for Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.
The Club America No1 revealed in August he was expecting to join United sometime this season - either in January or June - however it's emerged that Arsenal and Bayern have also been in contact about the highly-rated keeper. Arsenal already boast fellow Mexican Carlos Vela on their books and like United, are confident that Ochoa will not have any work permit problems given his status as Mexico's outright No1. |
