To date, they’ve accused Simmons of plagiarizing not only Bleach, but OnePiece, Hellsing, Deadman Wonderland, Death Note, Naruto, Lupin the 3rd,Neon Genesis Evangelion, The Sandman, Full Metal Alchemist, Wolf’sRain, Death Note, YGO, White Wolf’s Vampire: The Masquerade, and even a deviantART artist as well.
But it’s the Bleach comparison that’s perhaps the strongest andthat’s evoked the most outrage, especially when one compares scenesinvolving Kenpachi, Ichigo, Orihime, and Ulquiorra in the Hueco Mundoarc to pages from Simmons’s work. Fan reposts of Incarnate do reveal anuncanny resemblance to many of Kubo Tite’s panels, some of thempractically, fans say, outright tracings.
On March 1st, 2010, Nick Simmons released the following statement regarding the accusations of plagiarism:
"Like most artists I am inspired by work I admire. There are certainsimilarities between some of my work and the work of others. This wassimply meant as an homage to artists I respect, and I definitely wantto apologize to any Manga fans or fellow Manga artists who feel I wenttoo far. My inspirations reflect the fact that certain fundamentalimagery is common to all Manga. This is the nature of the medium. I ama big fan of Bleach, as well as other Manga titles. And I amcertainly sorry if anyone was offended or upset by what they perceiveto be the similarity between my work and the work of artists that Iadmire and who inspire me.”

However, they are ineffective against Yama. "Are you finished?" he asks WW. He then rips off both of WW's hands/arms.

その言葉にＷＷがいつもどおりのうめき声をだすが、その声にはじじいに対する恐怖。
WW responds with his usual moaning, but it's with fear of Yama.
両の手の拳でＷＷの腹を衝いた（双骨という技）ところで次週へ
With both fists Yama pounds WW in the abdomen (technique called 'double bone'). That's it till next week. |
