The missions Dialga in Hia Valley!? and Palkia in Haruba Desert!? are now available for download via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection in the American version of the game Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. It is unknown until when, however. These missions require players to finish the game in order to be played.
These Extra Missions feature Dialga in Almia Castle and Palkia in Hippowdon Temple. The player is accompanied by fellow Top Rangers Wendy and Sven in the missions as they try to treat the injured legendary Pokémon who are both causing problems to the region of Almia.
The injured Dialga sends the player and Wendy back in time to before the player's family moves to Chicole Village with its Roar of Time. In order to treat it, the player and Wendy have to go back to the even colder Almia Castle of the past.
The injured Palkia, on the other hand, distorts the space in the region, changing the location that appears when people "change screen" or go through doors. The player, along with Sven and Henry, literally have to go all around Almia just to find a way to Palkia in Hippowdon Temple so the distortions would be fixed.
The special missions of the game, Recover the Manaphy Egg!, Rescue Kidnapped Riolu! and Liberate the Tower! will still be available for download until the end of this month while there has been no news involving the final Extra Mission which involves the legendary Shaymin.
