TAMAN TASEK LAMA

The taman Tasek Lama is one of the oldest recreational parks located within the city.  It is an express getaway from the busy city life, where one can enjoy nature and a waterfall in the middle of a lush forest.  An eight-metre wall is also provided for avid rock climbers, though most visitors hike through the thick forest to escape the hectic life.

Some pics hom took last 2 weeks ago while enjoying the Park.

gambar kat atas tu ... ramai pengunjung buat terapi kaki... batu kecik2tu...memang sengaja dibuat camtu...hom dah cuba... sakit woo..   camne lak depa tahan ekk..?

he waterfall... air tak bnyk masa tu.. but the tasek is memng deep one...

ada tmpt utk cuba walking on the rope.. ramai yg suka jalan kat atas tu... hom tak nak cuba.. takottt woo..

another part of the park dekat the waterfall

gambar kat atas tu le tmpt avid rock climbers... hari tu takde lak nmpk depa wat rock climbing

again the waterfall...

It's an interesting drive really. You got to visit other places along the way. Places such as Limbang, Terusan, Lawas n merapok in Sarawak and Sidumen, Sipitang, Beaufort n Papar before you reach KK.  And having a car while in KK is a plus.  The only problem is it takes 5 - 6 hrs drive to reach KK. One thing you have to know is that the immigration check points at Merapok, Sidume, Terusan, Labu, Puni, Limbang and Kuala Lurah opens daily from 6.00am at 10.00pm.

Trusan Bridge To Shorten Brunei-KK Trip
By Rosli Abidin Yahya

Bandar Seri Begawan - In a few years' time, Bruneians who wish to drive to Kota Kinabalu in Sabah will no longer have to wait for a ferry to cross the Trusan River in Lawas.
According to Persatuan Melayu Limbang President Hj Mohamad, the "Trusan Bridge" project was awarded to a Kuching-based contractor, Aru Daya Sdn Bhd, last month.
He said the project, estimated to cost about RM29 million (B$12.9 million), will see a concrete bridge spanning the Trusan River by the end of 2009.
At present, motorists who want to drive to Kota Kinabalu from the Sultanate need to cross two rivers - Temburong River in Pandaruan and Trusan River in Lawas by ferries.
The time it takes to cross the Trusan River by ferry is about five minutes. However, the waiting time to get onboard could be as long as three hours during school holidays or festive seasons.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
