Ep 5 Summary

Sho: *lowers head*

Sho: I'm sorry. I can't tell you yet everything that's going on. But one day.. I will explain it to you personally. Therefore.. I hope you will trust me..
Yoona: I wanna hear it right now. Please.. tell me. *pause* You're Japanese, I'm Korean. Our country, culture are nothing alike, and we do have a communication gap to begin with. If you still refuse to say anything.. It's the same as you shutting yourself out. *pause* I've been silly to have trusted you all this while.. Sayonara.
The main system of the nuclear power station was almost successfully hacked in, possibly by Shinku. Isaki tells the head of police he has something to say regarding Takumi.
The Shinku boss is displeased with Ryugo for setting up an e-business without his approval.
He reminds Kim Young Jae to be extra careful with the hundred million deal that night.
Kotomi comments to Sho everyone knows that he and Kim are going for the same woman. She seems to have a plan for Sho. "You wanna be successful don't you. To get a bird's eye view of everything.. You gotta first climb high." Sho excuses himself. "I'm afraid of heights."
Yooni reminds Yoona of all the instances Sho has been good to them. "Would you really think such a person is a crook?" Yoona tells her firmly people of Shinku are never what they seem to be.
Sho tails Kim Young Jae but ends up almost getting caught in action. He slips away frustrated and informs Isaki, who then sends his men after Kim's truck of counterfeit notes.
Isaki meets up with Sho. (They failed to find the truck.) Isaki announces that Takumi is released from his undercover duty as of Feb 11. Sho protests, saying he may be able to find more leads.
Isaki: If not for you we may have located the counterfeit factory by now!
Sho: And I! Have spent nine years on this.. If it ends this way I'm too ashamed to go face my mother.
Isaki: Cos of your mother? It is because of your personal emotions that I'm firing you!
Sho: You can't understand! You have never been robbed of anything! After my father has been killed, NO ONE lent a hand to me and my mother.. She worked so hard.. And it is because of her I wanted to be a policeman. So-
Isaki: I have no wish to know any of this. To always dwell on his past misfortunes.. That is a doing of a weakling.
Sho: I.. shall end this my own way.
Isaki tries to stop Sho but is handcuffed to the pipes.
It is splashed all over the magazine that Yoona's shop is managed by "the lover of Shinku", that all profits contribute to the funding of the triad. Yooni passes out. The article is a doing of Kotomi in an attempt to brush Yoona off.
Kim Young Jae looks Yoona up at the hospital. Yoona says "You knew all along didn't you? That he was one of you. I will trust no one now. Maybe.. If I'd listened to you things would have been easier now." Kim gives her the contact of the best heart surgeon in Japan.
Sho sends his mother another letter. "I'm sorry. Looks like I can't keep the promise I made about returning after all. We may not see each other ever again. But one thing for sure.. I will avenge Father. I must avenge him for the sake of my mother you. Therefore, please forgive me."
Sho approaches the Shinku boss with a loaded gun. But the boss is suddenly informed that an undercover is near. Security tightens, and Sho has no choice but to leave. Turns out that it was Isaki who alerted the boss. "If you do it I will arrest you with my very own hands- remember this!" Sho responds "I will not allow anyone to stop me. Even if it's you."
Akira and Sho's mother have found Sho. Sho's mother tells him "It does not matter where you've been, what you've done all this while. But there's just one thing I hope you understand, and that is I have NEVER wished for you to avenge your father. Revenge is only for the weak and useless. It reduces you to the despicable.. Like those who killed your father." Sho asks "Have you forgotten what they did to us on that day??" She replies "I only remember our happy times." She threatens to break off their ties if he must go ahead with revenge. Her only wish.. is for Takumi to find his very own happiness. "Your dad's watch is also ticking second by second...towards the future."
Yooni wants to look Sho up and ask him to leave Shinku. "One day when I'm no longer around.. You'll be all alone Sis.."
Isaki asks Yoona if she has seen Sho, and tells her he is about to kill someone.
Yoona: You got it wrong.. He will never do such a thing. He's a good man, a very very good man!
Yoona finds Sho. "The police turned up.. They said you were preparing to kill someone.. It wasn't true was it.. It's a misunderstanding right?? Quick, tell me that it wasn't true!" Sho tells her "I wasn't able to tell you as much as I wanted to.. But now I'm going to tell you. Everything about me."
Kim Young Jae finds Sho's car. "Now.. we all know who the undercover is." (NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!) |
