according to companies act, FYE of parent and subsi kena coincide with each other unless directors minta exemption from ROC. Check schedule 9 or section 169.
In frs 127 - consolidated financial statement says that if a sub have diff reporting dates then the sub kena prepare another statement that tallies with parent unless it is impracticable to do so. The standard does not say whether you can or cannot.
At the end of the day you have to check with ROC. :tq: |

But most of my fren ambik dgn Dr Izani because nak dapat A.
i tak ambik bcoz dia ajar derivatives.. i tak ambik this subject .. tak relevant with my job.
and i tak faham apa yang dia ajar.. on 2005 dia ada ajar kami kejap
FM before dia dpt denggi and Dr. Saiful ambik alih... dia banyak derive formula la..
tu yang kam tak berapa faham...
ish masalahnya laki orang.. kalau duda ker.. or bujang terlajak ok jer..
i mmg prefer org tua pun..

(IPTA Mesia) research meth lebih pada penggunaan software (eviews,spss bla bla)
for me econometrics is vital tool to understand and to write a finance journal.. b4 this
kalo baca finance journals mmg tak paham teknik yg authors applied, tapi skang dah
comfortable.. siap buleh critic lagi..
pendek kata abih kelas econometrics mmg buleh jadik greek.. alpha beta theta lambda omega
suma kuar.. hahaha
nak dpt A ngan izani is not impossible but u have to earn it... nak kata senang tak gak.. sbb dulu aku sampai pecah kepala nak jwb exam questions dia...derivatives blom amik tapi
basically dah tau apebendenye tu...
nak carik yg tua susah sikit wooo... diorang biase mau istri yg slalu ade kat umah..

and most of us tak tau pun course tu ttg apa..
so kurang berminat la nak ambik..
bila u ckp camni i rasa interested la pulak..
tapi minggu add drop dah habis ...
and this course hanya akan offer lagi sem 2 2007/2008
masa tu i dah grad dah...
frust la..
tapi i nak try mintak.. just nak masuk kelas jer... tak ambik exam..

after u take this paper u'll know how markowitz/sharpe ladida did their researches
very interesting... if u have solid background in statistics even better.. ni kira macam
applied stats ler.. t test z test f test apekejadah suma ada
i used 2 listen to one research paper by pemegang kursi al ghazali kot .. prof from
bangla (sapa kata org bangla suma budus).. masa tu tak paham apa sbb x amik
econometrics lagi.. sekali dia tunjuk modified data (pakai natural log) abih suma org
whoaaaa.. padehal sbnrnya tu mende biasa je for economist |

Apahal korang cakap pasal econometrics ni? takde kena mengena dgn bidang accountancy pon.
Setahu saya,bidang econometrics ni khas utk dorang yg study econs or stats saje, buat ape korang pilih subjek yg bukan field korang.
Pada pendapat saya, walau betapa bagus atau advance ko punya econometrics, company bukannya nak ambik ko kerja dgnnya, sebab dorang takkan paham model ini boleh membantu syarikatnya berkembang. So, ko kenalah pandai explain. Bukan mudahnya nak memahami model tu. Dan model ni bukannya boleh dipakai sesuka hati, ia perlu memenuhi syarat2 tertentu sebelum boleh applied. |

- new generation of accountants bukan lagi jadik bean counter cam dulu.. we must be able to do some meaningful prediction of future economy.. kalo stakat process historical data, software acctg dah byk.. kerja acctant skang bukan record keeper shj.. we're suppose 2 safeguard co's assets.. and director's' arse..hahaa kalo ikut MIA punya motto "accountants: managers of value"...
one way to safeguard this profession is to enhance our value to business societies... u can only enhance it by adding value to urself by way of education..
what u learn doesnt matter much.. its how u apply ur knowledge.. |

sbb tu kena paham betul2 econometrics tu.. so u'll aware of limitations, assumptions ladida of the paper..
econmetrics is a research tool - not the knowledge itself.. how on earth can u explain if u dont know methods used in the research? just becos somebody in the co doesnt understand, u also have to follow suit...
finance ni satu discipline yg very broad..
cth kenapa kita blaja time value of money? ni concept finance.. ade byk investment/financial assets yg macam2 dlm donia ni dicipta.. dulu bank tak jual hutang credit card.. skang dia dah bundle pastu jual pd bank lain... sama cam mortgage bond dulu developed by solomon bro.. camana nak account for it?
