GEORGE TOWN:Fifteen nudists who were filmed basking in nature at the Penang National Park in Teluk Bahang, have been identified say Penang police.
State police chief Datuk Abd Rahim Hanafi said the 15 comprised seven Malaysians, four Singaporeans, two Myanmar nationals, an Indian national and a Filipino.
He said efforts were underway to track them, with police were working with other law enforcement agencies on the matter.
Police have also identified the organiser of the event, dubbed the Malaysia Nude Sports Games 2014, but declined to name the individual.
Police, Rahim revealed, had also recorded 10 statements so far, of which The Rakyat Post understands include the park officials and the management.
“Police will continue to investigate the matter and will make arrests soon,” he said in a press conference this morning.
The five-minute plus video, which has gone viral, is believed to have been taken a few months ago.
Footage shows a group stripping down to their birthday suits before engaging in body painting and skinny dipping.
