Caparo T1 RRV, Coolest Police Car Ever
If no speed limit is your motto and you live in the UK I have bad news. Apparently the Metropolitan Police teamed up with Caparo, Britain抯 supercar manufacturer to create the cool F1-looking police car, Caparo T1 RRV (Rapid Response Vehicle) that can go from 0 to 100mph in just 5 seconds.Though it抯 just a concept car right now, Caparo T1 RRV was designed to patrol the M25 Highway for getaway drivers or speed limit breakers. It sports 575hp at 10,500 rpm from a 3.5L V8 engine and a top speed of 200mph, so believe me you don抰 want it on your tail if you did something bad.  |

actually chassis and body stiffness lebih pada Evo X compared to Lancer GT tu bukan untuk crash impacttapi lebih kepada handling.kalau kereta enjinnya berkuasa dan torque tinggi,body and chassis perlu rigid untuk nak elak dari chassis flex.once chassis flex,the suspension geometry semua akan lari thus resulting in poor handling and chassis response..in fact,in some cases boleh jadi merbahaya jugak.
that's why banyak kereta Proton yg dah masuk enjin Evo etc,kalau bab cornering/handling semuanya hancus.
the Evo X lebih berat dari Lancer GT mainly sebab chassis..extra strengthening and also lets not forgetthe ultra-hightech 4WD drivetrain.even the brakes are heavier..race derived Brembo 4-pots in front and twin-pots inthe rear,against normal family car brakes.
IMO the PDRM Highway Eagle colour scheme is just hideous.. the normal white with discreet POLIS scripts at strategic sites should suffice.
another aspect that i worry about when talking about the Evo X is the maintenence aspect of the car.these turbocharged rally reps require quite extensive maintenence schedules..i know,i own a Subaru Impreza STi.i hope they don't abuse these cars like they do the Wajas etc but with our Gov's trackrecord as far as asset maintenence is concerned,i worry..
..and while these cars are fast,on the highway they are no match for supercars such as the one mentioned in an earlier post.these cars can only top 157mph,gearing limited. |
