Lampard: Life's Like A Soap Opera Under Roman

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has likened life at the club to a soap opera with the Russian billionaire in charge due to all the surreal goings on both in the past and present...

Lampard made specific reference to Jose Mourinho's dramatic departure from Stamford Bridge, and likened Chelsea's situation then to the current saga at Liverpool.
"Jose texted me the night he went. I couldn't believe it, but looking back, I can see the warning signs," he recalled.
"Chelsea is a soap opera and there were too many things coming out, similar to how Liverpool is at the moment.
"Football has changed and decisions can be made much more ruthlessly than in the past."
As well as the bad, Lampard was keen to remember the good times as well; particularly winning the league, and a memorable trip back from Russia with members of the England squad on the Chelsea owner's private jet.
"I've not known a club owner like him," he declared. "As soon as he took over, we'd see him in the dressing room and at the training ground.
"There was nothing better than after we won the Premier League. Me and John Terry with Roman and his son bouncing up and down on the bus!
