#Showbiz: Neelofa joins Hollywood stars to save the Leuser Ecosystem

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular TV host and actress Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor is doing her bit for the environment by joining a campaign launched by English fashion designer Stella McCartney, titled #ThereSheGrows. The campaign which aims to help save the Leuser Ecosystem in Indonesia, asks participants to dedicate a tree and a special message to someone before asking another person to do the same. It is reported that other celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon have also joined the initiative, to help create awareness around the Leuser Ecosystem. The 30-year-old who is currently in Paris, France took to Instagram yesterday to share the news with her six million followers. “With the threat of global warming, we need to protect our forest more than ever. The Leuser Ecosystem is one of the forest that gravely needs our help. “It is home to the Sumatran Orangutan, and other wild species like rhinos and tigers. It plays a vital role for our climate’s stability,” she said in a video entry. The MeleTOP host also shared that she would be dedicating a tree in honour of her precious nephew, Jebat Jayden. “I would love for him to experience the greeneries when he grows up. I think it’s very important for us to leave a better and greener world for our future,” she added. The actress then called upon Indonesian star Laudya Cynthia Bella to join the campaign and dedicate a tree as well.
