Man City likely to be in running for Ronaldinho in summer

The fact that AC Milan star Ronaldinho is open to a move away from the San Siro would have Manchester City officials listening intently.

The 29-year old has been linked with a move to City for many months but nothing has come from the persistent rumours.

Now, according to brother and agent, Roberto Assis, Ronaldinho is likely to move on and he will not be going back to Brazil which would be music to City抯 ears.

"There is no chance of Ronaldinho going back like Ronaldo and Adriano," Assis told O Estado de Sao Paulo newspaper.

"But if you ask me whether he could change teams in Europe, I would say yes."

LONDON (AFP) — Mark Hughes will stay as boss at Manchester City the club's owners have confirmed.

There had been persistent question marks over his job for most of the season following the takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group.

But club chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak was at pains to scotch the rumours ahead of City's last match of the season against Bolton at Eastlands next weekend.

He told the Manchester Evening News: "I have been surprised at all the speculation because I have always been consistent with everyone on the subject of the manager.

"Every time I have spoken I have said we have the highest confidence in Mark and I would like to re-iterate that now. Mark will be our manager next season; nothing has changed."
