Barcelona's Garcia signs for Liverpool

LIVERPOOL, England (AFP) - Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has signed Barcelona striker Luis Garcia, it was widely reported here.
Garcia on Friday signed a five-year deal with the Premiership side alongside midfielder Xabi Alonso, who had arrived from Real Sociedad last week.
Both Alonso and Garcia put pen to paper at Anfield after successfully coming through medicals.

Reds manager Benitez led Valencia to the league and UEFA Cup double last season and since arriving to take over from Gerard Houllier has given the Merseysiders a distinctly Iberian flavour.
The no-nonsense Spaniard had already snapped up winger Antonio Nunez from Real Madrid and 24-year-old defender Josemi who arrived via Malaga.
Midfielder Nunez arrived at Anfield last week as part of the deal which took former Red Michael Owen to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Nunez however is already sidelined for around a month after injuring knee ligaments in a training ground accident.
Garcia's arrival means Benitez has now brought four Spaniards to the club.
Barcelona sporting director Txiki Begiristain said earlier Friday.
"I am happy for him (Garcia) because he is on the verge of signing for a big club," Begiristain told www.fcbarcelona.com.
"The agreement between the two clubs is practically done. Liverpool will pay the buy-out clause of nine million euros.
"We didn't know if Luis Garcia was going to perform the same way this season as he did last time, but I congratulate him (on the move)."

aku tgk prestasi finnan mmg kurengg skit...mungkin masih baru main posisi tu...tapi byk2 pemain...paling aku hangin skali si dudek...tak abis2 dgn lawak bodohnya...mintak2 kirkland lahh next game...
