KUALA LUMPUR: People's Housing Project (PPR) residents and managements want the authorities to clamp down on maintenance fee defaulters, saying it is unfair to those who abide by the rules.
Retiree Mohd Ali Mohd Yusof said he was annoyed by the indifference of some residents of PPR Pantai Ria in Pantai Dalam who refuse to pay the RM42 monthly maintenance fee.
"Some people here own more than two cars, but refuse to pay," said Ali, who is a member of PPR Ria's Rukun Tetangga. "It is not fair. No matter how difficult my situation is, I still fulfil my responsibilities."
He said the maintenance fee went towards the upkeep of the PPR's lifts and cleaning services.
Last week, Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming criticised PPR residents who refused to pay the maintenance fee even though they could afford it.
He said the ministry plannedto introduce access cards in future public housing projects, given only to those who pay the maintenance fee. Ali is not the only PPR resident who is frustrated.
A PPR Danau Kota resident, who only wanted to be known as Khatijah, 63, hoped the authorities would crack down on maintenance fee defaulters.
She said used a portion of her RM500 monthly allowance from Baitulmal to pay the RM42 monthly maintenance fee.
"I pawned my jewellery to pay the maintenance fee. Others have huge cars, but don't pay the fee." National House Buyers Association of Malaysia honorary secretar y-general Datuk Chang Kim Loong called for tough action against those who refuse to pay their dues. |

Tak boleh potong gaji ke...buat syarat potong gaji la sblm blh beli rumah tu...kalau x byr jugak, bangkrap kan je..byk je cara boleh buat nk ajar puak lehnat ni...enforcement lemah n penguatkuasa tido |

PPR sy pun akan sekat masuk ke parking kalu lewat bayar...lewat lg sebulan parking dia kena lelong..bg kat org lain...
tp nama ppr setiap rumah ade 3 anak mesti ade 5 kete...
pastu parking limit...
Pastu sebelah ppr ade apartment naik..sempit lg...

nak bes duduk apartment yg middle cost, maintenance xmahal sgt tapi etika penduduk dia baik...carik yg 4 atau 5 tgkat yg xda lift...tp ada security guard...i olls pernah ddk rumah macam ni, ambik ground floor..sng dan memudahkan serta x memeningkan kepala |

jangan kata ppr, rumah aku ni pun kategori apartment kos rendah
monthly 200 gak la.
tapi kimak anat species nak facilities free taknak bayo mentenen fees
dah block access card pun dia buat dummy ke macam mana sampai boleh access glass door lagi
or dorang pecahkan pintu kecemasan kat tangga tu nak masuk
aku baran je dengan jiran depan yang hutang maintenen fees tertunggak 2k tapi aman2 je keta besor, p holiday kepala untut dia |

Kena buat la...i baru ni kena dgn indah water...rumah sewa i punya indah water bill tak pernah dpt..i pun lupa nk tanya penyewa...sbb rmh kita tak duduk kan..tetiba dpt surat nama i kena blacklist dlm ccris sbb bill indahwater tertunggak rm300++... |

makin hari makin terserlah kebenaran kata lecturer tu kan..
Memang kena sebijik. Installment kereta mampu bayar,tapi maintenance fee RM42 tak mampu. Nampak kan golongan ini prioriti hidup mereka salah.
Beberapa hari lepas ada berita pasal parking tak cukup di ppr sama. |
