Cheapest place for barang dapur and rumah in JB

Hi kengkawan, in light of the upwards spiral in prices of groceries and household items, why dont we compare notes on shops, or locations in JB that offer the best value of money. Please remember to list addresses if possible or landmarks or streets if cant. And lastly lets keep this thread alive and updated regularly as it affects all of us. Lets relive the spirit of gotong royong!!

Baron,

Untuk barang basah (fish, poultry, meat, veggies etc.) kami suka pergi ke Smart Pandan, dekat Carrefour. Pasar Tani kat Stadium Larkin on Saturdays pun ok gak.

For household items like toileteries, detergent etc. Mydin at BBU is the cheapest.

Yang Smart Pandan tu, are u referring to the wet market? atau supermarket nye? because ive been there and theres both.

dulu time MAKRO ada .... aku slalu shopping beli barang dapur kat sana...
sekarang MAKRO dah takde.... so aku beralih arah shopping ke GIANT basically kat Plentong and CARREFOUR...
lenlain tempat jrang pegi coz takde masa....

kalau betul barang kat sini murah... nanti aku divert shopping kat sini plak....

Makro mmg dh di robohkan.
Tpi mid year ni, diorang akn buka Tesco-extra.
Sesape yg duk area jhr jaya/ tmn molek/ desa tebrau dll sekitarnya mmg untung.
Ade Giant, tesco, carfoure semua dekat2.

Ade org ckp brg2 basah kt Smart tu mahal. Yg murah skit kt Pasar Pandan.

Is it? Pasar Pandan is before Smart if heading to Kota Tinggi. Pasar Pandan ngan Smart operating hours for the wet market from what time to what time? Anyone knows?

Bermastautin tu menetap is it? Oh, nope not anytime soon. Rumah yang kat Setia Indah tu buat retirement for my parents nanti bila dorang dah nak retire. For me pasal barang dah naik so now must be shopping savvy lah, masuk every weekend shopping barang dapur, rumah and bring back home in SG.

It's the wet market. Yg supermarket dia tak berapa mengancam la... better to go to Giant.

aku sendiri tak pernah pergi Pasar Borong Pandan tu, walaupun ianya lebih dekat dgn rumah aku compared to Smart.

Adik aku pernah pergi... dia komen yg sayur yg dijual kat Pasar Borong Pandan tak fresh. Aku cuma suka gi situ sebab nak beli DVD... murah beb.

Yup, this is true. Mydin punya drawback is that they carry a limited range of the branded stuff. Example : detergent yg wife aku suka guna, Mydin cuma jual yg botol kecik je.

-ayam - pnh beli..xsmpi smgui cam tu da lebam
- yg bes kat sini ..banding p.borong pandan..sini lagi meriah..ada hypermarket, buah2an mcm..wlupon xde yg xbp fresh..ade mcm2 kedai la..jual blouse, pakaian, brg elektrik
-start operation ptg dlm pkl 4 camtu tu kot..tutup mlm dlm pkl 11mlm
-dvd pirate rm5 ..klu beli 5 free 1

p.borong pandan
- start pkl 6 ptg..tutup xpasti plak
- buah2an kurang di jual
-sayur byk juga pilihan tp kurang dr kat smart
-ikan, udang , sotong - fresh n harga not bad

pada aku... nak jimat pergi aje kedai belakang rumah....

kedai apek leeheng tu harga dia kadang2 lebih murah drpd carrefour, giant, tesco.

kalo mcm aku ni mmg x bleh pergi hypermarket...baik nk beli seploh barang, jd penuh satu troli...rabak poket...

Erm..tu la...nk tk nk kna tgk jgk kos perjalanan kite nk ke sesuatu tmpt tu...
Klu tmpt tu mmg byk yg murah2, tp kos perjalanan dr rumah kita agk byk...erm..better beli tmpt yg dekat je.

Ckp ttg dvd ni....aku pnh bli kt Smart...aku ckp nk yg "baik punye", kira crite blue lah, diorang pun bg..balik tgk dia bg yg budak2 bwh umur punye...aduuh...
