Journey to the Center of the Earth is a forthcoming 3-D film adaptation of the novel Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne. It is scheduled for release on July 11, 2008. The film will star Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutcherson and Anita Briem.

Synopsis

Brendan Fraser plays a science professor whose untraditional hypotheses have made him the laughing stock of the academic community. But on an expedition in Iceland, he and his nephew (Josh Hutcherson) stumble upon a major discovery that launches them on a thrilling journey deep beneath the Earth's surface, where they travel through never-before-seen worlds and encounter a variety of unusual creatures. - (movies.yahoo.com)

Trevor (Brendan Fraser) and two companions fall into a deep pit to the centre of the earth whilst taking a hike on a mountain. On their adventure they encounter dinosaurs and many extinct creatures, similar to the original film. Subsequently the temperature increases suddenly due to the eruption of a massive volcano; the characters are thus faced with a daring escape before the heat and other dangers can overpower them. - (wikipedia.org)

Production

Filming

The film will transpose the novel into the present day and will be mostly live action, with only the landscape and creatures supplied bycomputer-generated graphics. The film will be projected using Real D Cinema technology, a format that made its debut with the release of Chicken Little. As such, it will be the first wide-release film to be released exclusively in the Real D Cinema format, as approximately 1500 theatres will have Digital 3-D compatibility by the time of its release.

latest aku dgr yg cite ni utk versi Malaysia telah dibuang word '3D' so title film ni kat Malaysia hanyalah "Journey To The Center Of The Earth" without the word "3D".. x tau la apa maksud die..

owwhh.. film ni ada sikit isu rupenye.. so korg decide la berbaloi tgk kat mana di mana etc2..

aku just curious, is it worth it, kalau tgk versi biasa.. aku tgk gezet pun nampak cam x menarik.. what i mean x menarik is, kite kena guna spek 3D utk tgk sbb masa gezet tu obvious nampak kesan2 visual utk 3D application..

teket wayang 3D kat Mid Valley RM17, huhu.. kirenye bukan 3D cikai cam Spy Kids la kut.. kali ni siap ada projektor khas utk 3D.. kat TGV maybe akan diinstall mende ni kat TGV KLCC dan Sunway.. kat Cathay Cineplex just versi biasa je..

of course menarik sbb tgk guna spek 3D.. maksud aku, kat wayang lelain yg bebanyak tu (selain mid valley), tyg versi biasa je.. so, adakah tyg versi biasa tu berbaloi wpun sebenarnye leh tyg 3D..?

btw, masa tgk gezet tu, aku nampak ada kesan2 aplikasi 3D kat movie tu.. so, aku x sure ok ke kalau tgk versi biasa, takut sakit mata (wpun sebenarnye pakai spek pun pening gak

), atau nampak pelik ke kalau kite tgk versi biasa..

kalau nak rekomen org tgk 3D, ada dlm 1-3 wayang je, sdgkn wayang lain bebanyak tu pun tyg gak cite ni tp versi biasa je, huhu..
