There is a proverbial Chinese saying that a family's accumulated wealth cannot be maintained past the third generation. The film The 3rd Generation (Cant.), aims to explore this very notion, as it traces the history of a Chinese family in Malaysia, from past till present.
This film uses period drama to capture the essence of the culture, diversity and social complexity of the Chinese in relation to family, love, relationship and business.
The movie follows the Chan family through three generations and attempts to show the invisible bond that exists within family members, business associates, husband and wives and friends.
This film is directed by CL Hor and stars Nicholas Teo, Carmen Soo Amber Chia, I-Fun, Paul Khoo, Melvin Sia and KC Cheng.

KUALA LUMPUR: His latest album is called Prince and Taiwan-based Malaysian singer Nicholas Teo certainly looked the part. Teo made an entrance that befitted the moniker by riding in a horse carriage to his press conference at the Palace of Golden Horses in Seri Kembangan on Tuesday. The Kuching-born singer is back in Malaysia to promote Prince with the nationwide Da Ma Cai Nicholas Teo Malaysia Promo Tour 2007. Besides special showcases in cities like Alor Star, Kuantan, Johor Baru, Penang, and the federal capital, the tour will also visit many smaller towns as well, such as Bentong, Selayang, Sungai Petani and Batu Pahat. 揑t may be a lot more hard work for me (to cover all these places), but I抦 happy to do it because this is a rare chance for me to visit my fans in these places,
