Kuala Lumpur, 30 March 2013 - Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd. (ETCM) has announced its new senior appointments to further strengthen its management structure effective April 1st,2013. This is part of ETCM’s growth and succession plan to continue to take Nissan and ETCM to greater heights, locally and regionally.

Dato’ Dr. Ang Bon Beng will take on a new and critical role in the growth of ETCM and Nissan’s presence in the Indo-China market, assisted by Mr. Khoo Cheng Pah. A new management team will continue managing Nissan and ETCM’s operation in Malaysia, which will be headed by Dato’ David Chen Yuen Thiam and supported by Mr. Tan Keng Meng.

Dato’ Dr. Ang Bon Beng,currently the Executive Director of Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd. (ETCM) will be appointed as Senior Regional Director to oversee the entire ETCM business operations in Indo-China.

Dato’ Dr. Ang who has many years of experience and proven track record in building up the success of ETCM’s Nissan operations in Malaysia, will now lead the Nissan operations in Indo-China to replicate the same success.

Dato’ Dr. Ang Bon Beng commented, “I look forward to adapting and replicating ETCM’s success in Malaysia to the Indo-China operations. With this new management structure, I strongly believe we will be able to continue the growth and enhance the presence of Nissan and ETCM in both Malaysia and at the regional level.”

“I am confident with Dato’ David Chen’s vast experience in the automotive industry, he will continue to lead ETCM in Malaysia to further enhance the growth to greater heights of success,” he added.

Dato’ David Chen Yuen Thiam has been appointed as the Executive Director of Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd. Dato’ David Chen’s responsibilities will cover the entire Sales and Marketing operations as well as Product Planning of ETCM in Malaysia. He will spearhead the new organizational structure, to drive sales and business results in Malaysia.

Armed with many years of experience in the automotive industry both locally and internationally, Dato’ David will continue to enhance the quality and standards for all aspects of the company’s operations.

Prior to joining ETCM, Dato’ David Chen was the Managing Director, International Operations of Abdul Latif Jameel Group in Dubai, UAE.

Dato’ David Chen said, “I am totally confident in continuing the success that Dato’ Dr. Ang has built all these years for an optimal and sustainable sales and business growth for Nissan and ETCM.”

Mr. Tan Keng Meng will be appointed as the Director of Marketing and Product Planning, Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia. He aims to bring in an even more innovative Nissan model line-up and creative marketing activities to our local automotive industry.

Mr. Khoo Cheng Pah,Sales Director of ETCM will be appointed as Regional Director of ETCM business operations in Indo-China. He will be based in Vietnam and will assist Dato’ Dr. Ang in managing the entire ETCM business operations in Indo-China.

The above senior management changes will strengthen the focus on delivering results towards achievement of Nissan and ETCM’s business goals in Malaysia as well as the regional level, Indo-China.
