technician tu adalah satu unit.. bukannya technician yg jenis... "di mana jua anda berada.." gitu... huhuh..

kalau nak soh diorg handle.. kena request lah bagai,,,

pernah dulu sekali aku request nak upgrade aku punya RAM.. boleh tak dia kata, kalau nak suruh bawak PC pg hantar kt tmpt diorg kt TTDI..

ataupun pegi beli sendiri, claim kt petty cash... pasang sendiri..

so of course lah cara kedua yg lebih senang kan...

sebab dia boleh connected tau... icon network tu jd biru..

tp bila nak access internet tak dapat apa pun.. even nak telnet ke internal server pun tak boleh.. motif?

nak kena cuba daya seribu juta kali baru dpt connect..

so.. any idea??

Takda kena mengena LAN cable disconnect dengan Account streamyx.. Kemungkinan hardware yg problem. Atau ada virus dalam pc atau network tu..

Ermm...

Cthnya hari ni kan... Pagi tadi dia jadi lagi.. Kali ni cable tak disconnect.. internet connected.. icon biru,.,.

Tp bila akses internet tak dapat guna..

Puaslah aku enable/disable/tukar IP bagai... baru leh guna..

so apa masalahnya yg sebenar ni??

check NIC link speed. if dedicated to 10/100/1000, change to auto-negotiate. if auto-negotiate, change to 10 or 100 or 1000. link speed needs to be in sync with the speed on the switch. if all don't work, it's hardware problem... replace your NIC.

I've just changed it to 10Mb.. Before this.. It's Auto.. And my LAN connection always show 100.00Mbps connected before this..

So far so good...

yes, that's the one. oobi experienced similar problem when I helped troubleshoot a problem at a bank. i worked with network engineer to check the problem, we played with all sort of network setup and it worked only for few minutes, then stopped - even though it was able to obtain ip address. it's not that it's really stopped, it just somehow don't receive any traffic, even though the link was alive. we had issue on 4-5 pc and all had old 3com nic. we ended up replacing all of them and the problem never showed up after that.

Based on siang td.. Mmg nampak mcm terasa sket perbezaannya lepas dah ubah benda tu...

Kalau tak.. Sekejap2 network mcm stuck.. takleh nak access internet..

But in your case.. NIC replacement is the solution right?

I'm just wondering.. How could you relate that to the network speed then?

yes, in my case, we had to replace the nic. well, the issue is not directly related to the speed. the issue is, may be the nic was not properly designed to work with the chosen speed, instead of auto-negotiate. the manufacturer may not have tested the nic properly when the speed is set to fix values such as 10/100/1000 since the nic was manufactured during the time when most companies used default value (auto-negotiate). nowadays, companies have started to use fix speed value to maximize bandwidth usage, control bandwidth usage and/or for security purposes.
