well...
what actually happened is quite the opposite. I've told you the reason why the Soviets insisted on retaining analog display system on their fighters.
the reason why they adopted glass cockpit concept in their fighters is because they don't have much money and needed export orders to keep their production lines running. if you look closely, you will see that modernised cockpit are only installed to 1-2 fighters that are either for trials and demo purposes only.
If they are awash with cash, why then the MiG-35 destined to Algeria were of remanufactured/ modified from existing MiG-29 airframes? Algeria has rejected the aircraft and now inducted into Ruskies AF- a fighter type which they don't want or need. more reason for us not to choose MiG-35 huh?  |

Off topic sket tapi takpe....
NATO ada satu badan dipanggil Air Standardisation Coordinating Commitee yang buat keputusan mengenai 'reporting name' pesawat buatan Rusia (dan China). Pesawat pejuang akan bermula dengan huruf F dan dua sukukata menunjukkan pesawat berenjin jet. Pasal kenapa depa pilih Fulcrum...kena tengok minit mesyuarat dia orang..... hehehe
Tapi nama 'Fulcrum' digunakan juga oleh juruterbang Rusia sendiri secara tak rasmi.... |
