"Bartender" is an R&B/hip-hop song by T-Pain and the official second single from his second album, Epiphany. The song features Akon. Lyrically it is about a heartbroken male,[t-pain] who has a crush on the female bartender. He believes that the bartender likes him, but it's an act on her part to get more money and tips out of him. The song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on the issue date of June 16, 2007 at number ninety-seven and has thus far peaked at number six, making the single T-Pain's fourth consecutive top ten hit single on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as Akon's ninth top ten hit single on the same chart.
The video premiered on Yahoo! Music on June 13, 2007 as the Bonus Video. It features T-Pain dancing in front of a bar and flirting with the "Bartender". BET's Access Granted also premiered the video on June 13, 2007.
One remix has been released so far, featuring Houston rapper Trae. Another remix featuring Kanye West, T.I. and Young Jeezy is expected to be released soon.[citation needed] There is also a remix that samples George Benson 1980 hit "Give Me The Night", crafted by NY underground producer Manny Faces.
