"Bleed It Out" is the fourth track and will be the second single from Linkin Park's third studio album, Minutes to Midnight, slated to be released on August 20, 2007 . During Live Earth, Linkin Park confirmed that the video had been shot. It has already occupied the 97th spot on the Billboard U.S. Hot 100 and the 76th spot on the Billboard Pop 100. In addition it has reached #17 on the Modern Rock Tracks.
It is the first track on the album to contain rap vocals from Mike Shinoda and the second track on the album to contain profanity ("Given Up" is the first), and will be the first Linkin Park single that contains profanity (excluding "Numb/Encore" with Jay-Z). The video is directed by Joe Hahn, who has directed other Linkin Park music videos.
It was first performed live during the show at Webster Hall in NewYork City on May 11, 2007. It was also performed on the May 12, 2007episode of Saturday Night Live. The song was also used for promotional purposes before the game between New York Mets and New York Yankees.

Btw, I personally think that if Linkin Park is not too "ambitious" and "experimentive" in their works and material, they will surely be regarded as a metal band. Don't forget to minus that vinyl-scratching thing and Mike Shinoda's annoying rap, that can do the trick.
